Good evening Eagles. Tomorrow's lunch will be quesadillas, salad, and fruit. Also, don't forget to bring your change for change in support the cross country team's fundraiser for breast cancer awareness month. The class who collects the most donations tomorrow, Monday, October 7th, will win a prize! After school tomorrow we will host a cross country meet. The open race starts at 4:30 pm, girls race at 5 pm, and boys race at 5:30 pm. Admission is $5. We will also collect donations during the race for our fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit the WVU Medicine Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. On Thursday, October 10th, we will hold our LSIC meeting at 5 pm and PTO at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome! This week the staff will be on the lookout for acts of kindness. We cannot wait to see which students step up to the challenge!

Preston County Schools will be offering substitute certification classes for the following service personnel positions: Cooks - Tuesday, October 8th at 9:00 AM, Custodians - Wednesday, October 9th at 9:00 AM, and Aides - Friday, October 18th at 8:00 AM. Tomorrow, Wednesday the 25th, Bus 73-16 , Josie Shillito, will not run, affecting both Terra Alta and PHS students. Again, bus 73-16 will not run tomorrow in Terra Alta or for PHS students.
In accordance with WV Board Policy 6204, impact statements and supporting data related to the possible closures of Fellowsville Elementary School and Rowlesburg School have been posted in all county school locations, in the office of the Superintendent, and in the county bus garage for public review from September 24, 2024 through October 28, 2024.
Due to a scheduling conflict tonight's volleyball game against Bruceton is being rescheduled. A future date will be announced later. Again, no volleyball game at East this evening. Thank you.
Good evening Eagle families. This is Principal Lynnette Ryan. This week we have a lot happening. Monday we have a home volleyball game against Bruceton School at 6 pm. Tuesday our students will have a special visit from the Buckwheat Festival court including the king and queen (the king, Connor Gibson, was a former East student). Thursday there is a 2 hour early out scheduled county wide and no school on Friday. If you have a chance to visit the festival this week, check out our school display at Kingwood Elementary and watch for our students in the various parades. The school day parade is Friday at 2 pm and will feature our unified county middle school band, our volleyball team, and more. And good luck to all of our students participating in the livestock activities.
Families please remember when dropping off students in the morning to pull all the way. up so as not to create traffic back up. And during evening pick up make sure you have your car rider tag displayed to ease in the pick up process.
