In response to a notification by the district's food vendor (Gordon Food Service), referencing a product recall related to potential contamination with salmonella of several Quaker Oats products including Quaker Chewy Granola Bar Cookies and Cream that were distributed through the backpack food program that services multiple district schools during the month of December. Efforts are being made to remove the impacted product from any further distributions. However, please discard any recalled items that have been distributed prior to the recall notice.


Due to anticipated winter weather conditions, Preston County Schools are cancelling all afterschool activities for tomorrow, Monday, December 18, 2023. The scheduled Board of Education Meeting at Fellowsville has been postponed and will be rescheduled. The rescheduled date and time of the meeting will be announced as soon as possible.

Good evening West Preston families! This is a friendly reminder about our Ornament Party tonight (Dec. 6) from 5-7pm. We have several stations for students and families to engage in! There may also be a visit from a jolly man in a red suit! We hope to see you all there!

There will be informational meetings for all 7th grade girls who are interested in being a junior princess in the 2024 Buckwheat Festival. The meetings will take place on Monday, December 4 and Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00 pm at the Community Building in Kingwood. You must attend one of these meetings if you would like to participate. Hello West Preston families! We hope you had a wonderful weekend! This is a friendly reminder that picture retakes will take place on Monday, December 4th starting at 8:15am. Wednesday is our annual Ornament Party from 5-7pm! There will be a ton of stations for students and families to enjoy! We are also having spirit week days for the whole month of December! This week we will do the following:
Monday- Wear your WPS gear
Tuesday- Candy Cane, wear red and white
Wednesday- Wear a sweater
Thursday- Wear your hats, scarves, and winter gear
Friday- Wear your festive bling, lights, or sparkle
