Hey West Preston families! We need your help keeping dismissal safe and smooth. When students return from a field trip, they are signed out directly from the bus or the trip itself. We just need to clean up pick up of additional children during dismissal if you are returning with your student from a field trip. Going forward, if you plan to pick up additional children, please go through the normal parent pick-up line. Be sure to make sure those children know they are parent pickup that day. We get that return times can be a little uncertain, but we’re usually pretty close with our estimates. Thanks for helping us keep things organized at dismissal! 💙🐾

May Menus: You will notice multiple cook's choice days, which will also be each day in June, so no menus will go out for June as all are cook's choice. Cook's choice are used to either be efficient with inventory to limit on waste, or to try new items, or bring back old favorites. You will also notice that there are two "pre-packaged" days. These shelf stable meals will be tested by students, with a survey for students to follow. In the future, these will be utilized for field trips, brain freeze days and emergencies when there may not be staffing. These meals DO meet USDA school lunch requirements. If utilized more in the coming years, on those days, schools will still also provide salad bars, or other supplemental items. As always, if any questions or concerns as it relates to school meals, please direct those to Justin Hough, Director of Child Nutrition and Wellness, at jhough@k12.wv.us.
