
Preston County Students grades 3 - 8 completed their first state summative assessment last week earning participation in the county wide Kahoot's Bowl. The following students placed either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the bowl. Congratulations to ALL of our students who worked hard!

Preston County Schools had 37 projects entered in the West Virginia Regional Social Studies Fair on March 7, 2024, and received: 18 first place, 9 second place, and 4 third place.

The West Virginia State Social Studies Fair will be held at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center on April 10, 2024, all First-Place students will advance to states.

It's time to celebrate National School Breakfast Week, March 4-8! All students in Preston County Schools (PCS) have an opportunity to start their morning off with a free breakfast at school. This week reminds us of the importance of a healthy balanced breakfast, which includes a variety of breakfast items, fruit, juice, and milk.

Beginning tomorrow, we encourage students and staff to show their spirit by participating in dress-up days. Tomorrow is "My Many Colored Days." Wear as many different colors as you like and can.

Softball and Baseball
Softball officially begins tomorrow with practice after school at 3:30 and baseball on Tuesday beginning at 5:00
All interested players need to report to the gym with a physical, water source, glove if you have it, bat if you have it, and clean shoes for inside if practice needs to be held on the gym flood.
For the boys, the tryout portion will take place Tuesday to Friday, with cuts being made at the end of practice on Friday.

Today, Tuesday, February 20th, Bus 34, Charlie McCarty for Terra Alta East Preston School and Preston High will not run. Parents will need to pick up students at East Preston School at 2:25 pm and at Preston Hight at 3:45 pm. Thank you.

Bus #34, Charlie McCarty, running in the Terra Alta Area will not be running this afternoon. Students who ride Bus #34 this afternoon will have to be picked up at dismissal. Parent pick up is around the back of the building. Dismissal is at 2:20pm Thank you

Bingo Night is still Friday, April 5th, but Decades Trivia: The Sequel will now be on Saturday, April 27th, instead of Friday the 26th due to Softball and Baseball games.
