This week is nationally recognized as Volunteer Week, and PCS has some of the very best in our schools and school support organizations. We want to thank these volunteers for their selflessness, compassion, service, and impact throughout our schools and communities.

Today is National Administrative Professionals Day, but not just today, but everyday across PCS, we want to celebrate those people that keep things operational and running smoothly, our secretaries, assistants, and office staff. From all of us at PCS, thank you for being the glue that holds this place together.

KES students got a hands-on lesson in healthcare last week thanks to the PHS Medical Assisting program!

High school students hosted a fun and engaging Teddy Bear Clinic, where our younger learners “checked in” their stuffed animals for pretend medical visits. From listening to heartbeats and checking temperatures to eye exams and conversations about health and wellness, students experienced the basics of a doctor’s visit in a friendly, low-stress environment.

This meaningful experience not only helps our students feel more comfortable with real healthcare settings, but also gives PHS Medical Assisting students the opportunity to apply their skills in a positive, real-world way.

A special thank you to KES School Counselor Crystal Pell and Medical Assisting Teacher Alyssa Sines for organizing such a valuable and memorable event!
