The West Virginia Advisory Council for the Education of Exceptional Children (WVACEEC) would like to hear from you.
The WVACEEC is a group of individuals from across the state that gather throughout the school year to listen to the concerns of parents, families, and community members regarding the education of exceptional students, and share those concerns with the WV Department of Education (WVDE), the WV State Board of Education (WVSBOE).
Youβre invited to meet with us in person on Thursday October 23, 2025 at Phillip Barbour High School 99 Horseshoe Drive, Phillippi, WV, from 5:00-8:00 pm.

Join us for a fall family night of fun on Thursday, October 23, at KES! Our PTA is hosting a Halloween parade and featured storyteller to follow! Pizza and drinks will be provided at 5PM followed by the parade at 6PM.

Congratulations to our PurposeFULL People award recipients for the month of September! These students were nominated by peers for exhibiting RESPECT! These Stags go above and beyond to see value in all people and things and treat them with care.

KES PTA vs CPMS FOW: A coin war has been declared! The school that collects the most coins (dollar amount) will win a special treat! Help KES win by sending in your loose change September 30 through October 10th!


Any families seeking assistance for Christmas with children 12 and under in the household, applications for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program opens tomorrow, October 1st and runs through the 31st. You can find the application at the following link: https://saangeltree.org/


Just a reminder that tomorrow the 25th is a 2 hour early out, with no school on Friday the 26th for all to have an opportunity to enjoy all the Buckwheat Festivities. Schools will also be closed Monday the 29th, with only extended contract employees reporting. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Buckwheat Festival.
