Today, we honor the indispensable role of substitute teachers in our education system. PCS has some amazing substitutes, who step-up and fill-in, sometimes on short notice, and do so as if they were made to be the teachers in those very classrooms they care for in a teacher's absence. Today, and every day, we can't thank you enough for helping to ensure our students' educations continue and thrive. Thank you PCS subs!!!

Last night, four Kingwood Elementary School staff members were awarded teaching mini grants from Your Community Foundation to enhance the learning experience for our students! These grants will support literacy initiatives, sensory regulation tools, and improved sanitary measures to help boost student attendance.
Thanks to the dedication of these educators and the generosity of YCF, KES will continue strengthening our efforts to help all students grow—academically, socially, and beyond. We are grateful for the continued support that helps our students shine!

Kingwood Elementary would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Kingwood VFW for their generous donation of a brand-new American flag. We also want to thank one of our own KES families for taking the time to hang the new flag that will now wave proudly over our school.
We look forward to honoring and retiring our old flag at a later date. From all of us at Kingwood Elementary, happy Veterans Day — and thank you to all who have served!

Sweet Rewards for Positive Behavior!
As part of our school-wide PBIS STOMP! Program, select students and staff were chosen in this month’s drawing to enjoy a special treat — making (and eating!) caramel apples together!
These students earned and spent their tickets by consistently showing positive behavior across campus, and the teachers joining them were the ones who issued those winning tickets.
We’re so proud of our students and staff for STOMP-ing out negativity and continuing to build a positive school culture, one good choice at a time!
