School picture re-take day is October 25th. That is also pajama day for Red Ribbon Week. Parents whose kids are getting their pictures re-taken may want to consider sending their kids a change of clothes.
October’s Character Strong trait is Respect. Mrs. Moody’s class did their Character Strong lesson today: Create a slogan or jingle for respect. Here is what her class came up with! The last one is to the viral song “It’s Corn.”

Mrs. Walls' first graders spent some time learning about emotions and how to express our feelings in positive ways. They worked in collaborative groups to create a person that would express a given feeling. Team work was a big challenge because they were not able to use scissors!
Today we are spotlighting Wyatt Zeigler in Mrs. Moody’s class. Wyatt made us so proud when he realized that sitting near a friend in class was distracting him from his learning, and he spoke up for himself and asked to be moved to ensure he could focus on his education. Way to go Wyatt!
