Tryouts for any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for the Squires Cheer Team will take place on Monday, August 7th from 5-7 PM at Central Preston Middle School. There will be a brief parent meeting in advance of tryouts beginning at 4:45 PM. Students must have a current physical and proof of insurance in order to tryout. Please contact Head Coach Eraka Anderson or Assistant Coach Kayla Boylan with any questions.

Middle school volleyball flex practices are scheduled for July 24th, 25th, and 31st and August 1st, 7th, and 8th. These are optional conditioning practices and all athletes must have a completed physical form. Flex practices are from 6:00 - 7:30 in the gym.
It's that time again! Planning for our annual Back-to-School Bash has started! If you would like to bring a vehicle for our Touch-A-Truck, please put your contact information in the comments below and a member of the Bruceton Academic Boosters will reach out to you.
Back-to-School Bash is August 18th from 5:00 - 7:00pm.
We are asking all Touch-A-Truck presenters to arrive and set up by 4:30 so that your vehicle is safely parked before students, parents, and guests arrive.

Tryouts for middle school county-wide Squires Cheer (grades 6-8) are tentatively scheduled for for August 7th from 5pm - 7pm at Central Preston Middle School. Anyone with an athlete interested in in running Middle School Cross Country or 5th Grade Cross Country Club this fall, please fill out the attached form. Practice will begin on August 3rd . Be sure your athlete has a sports physical as of May 1st.

Make sure to bring your kids out for the summer reading program tomorrow. Kids in attendance have the chance to win two free tickets to Idlewild. Kids of all ages and parents can come for lunch in the cafeteria at 11:30 and the program begins immediately afterwards.
The Summer Reading Program students had fun learning about air pressure with Sparks Imagination Center today! Make sure to come out next Thursday at 11:30 for the Summer Reading Program. Kids in attendance could be the lucky winners of two tickets to Idlewild!

Several of our teachers are spending the week learning from other teachers and schools across the country ways to better teach and serve our kids! Thanks to Preston County Schools for allowing us to attend the National Model Schools Conference!

For summer school parents: Today's summer school trip is expected to be back at the school at approximately 1:20. After the buses return from the trip, they will then run their regular routes for kids who normally ride the bus home from summer school.
Bruceton School's Summer Reading Program continues this Thursday at 11:30. Kids coming to the summer reading program can eat lunch at 11:30 in the cafeteria and the program ends at 1:30. It's open to kids from age two through middle school and students attending summer school in the morning are welcome to stay for the Summer Reading Program too.
