Mrs. Moody’s class participated in a “Vocabulary Social,” introducing themselves as their assigned word to practice the definitions, synonyms and antonyms of their weekly vocabulary words.

From Bruceton Youth League Football: On behalf of Bruceton Youth League Football and Cheer, we would like to extend an invitation to you, your faulty, staff, and students to attend our Pink Out Game Sunday, October 9th as the Bruceton Bulldogs will be hosting Terra Alta. Please come support the kids and Breast Cancer Awareness. Games will start at 2:00pm. There will be an adult flag game from 1:00pm to 2:00pm if anyone would be interested in participating.

Congratulations to our top donut sellers Ivan Kosik (1st place), Sadie Rosenberger (2nd place), and Wyatt Thomas (3rd place)! Jay Shay from the Lions Club stopped by to present them with cash prizes today. Thank you to everyone for your support. With this fundraiser and our levy funds, we are able to continue our project to replace aging student classroom furniture. Thanks again to the Lions Club for providing the prizes for the kids.




Students in the middle school life skills class are learning some basics of sewing. This week they are learning to sew buttons back onto shirts.

Students in Ms. Custer’s class worked together today with WVU’s STEAM outreach program to learn about hydraulics and build a claw grabber that works!



Congratulations to our new Bulldog Mascot Skylar Rush! Alternates are Zane Martin, Trevor Sigley, and Linkin Sleppy! We started with 13 Bulldog candidates and all had to undergo a selection process involving a panel interview with teachers and administrators and a cheer-off in costume in front of the middle school student body. Donuts from our Krispy Kreme fundraiser will be delivered on October 10th for grades PK-2 and October 11th for grades 3-8. You can pickup your donuts between 3:00 and 6:00pm in the cafeteria.

Bus 55, Shelley Reckart's bus, will not make its afternoon run today, Tuesday, October 4th. Bus 11-20, Bill Knotts' bus, will return back to Bruceton School after its regular run to pickup those affected students at approximately 3:10. Bus 55 students will then ride bus 11-20 home.

The Bulldog volleyball team takes on archrival Central tomorrow beginning at 6:00pm here in Bruceton. This game is free admission for everyone as a thank you to our community. Make sure to wear your Bulldog gear. #SchoolofChampions

We wanted to give you a sneak peek of some of our student artwork that will be on display at the Buckwheat Festival this weekend.




Mrs. Moody's class completed a STEM activity this morning as an extension to their novel, Charlotte's Web. Using a foam cup and floss, the students worked as a team to create a web that would withstand the elements and trap a "fly" (bean).
