Tonight's home softball game against Suncrest Middle is cancelled. Practice will now be from 5:00 - 7:00 at the softball field.

It was a gorgeous day today on the playground. Our 4th graders ventured over to visit and play some catch with our PK kiddos.

Bruceton School had several students recognized at last night's county Young Writer's Festival Awards. Congratulations to 5th grader Adalyn Singer for winning first place in the 5th/6th grade prose competition. 7th grader Harmony Rankin came in 3rd place in the county in the middle school competition. 8th grader Sally Stennette placed second in the middle school competition for poetry. 8th grader Lyla Fisher also received an honorable mention in the middle school competition. 8th grader McKinley Kidwell was also honored in the middle school competition. 3rd grader Mila Peddicord was also honored for her prose entry in the 3rd grade competition too. Also recognized for prose in the grade 3/4 competition was 4th grader Kamryn Cunningham. 5th grader Kelsey Jenkins received 2nd place in the county for poetry in the 5/6 grade competition. Also 6th grader Eileen Parks was recognized for prose in the 5/6 grade competition. Congratulations to all our Bulldog Young Writers!

Report cards were distributed to students today, Tuesday, March 28th, in grades kindergarten through 8th.

Preston County Schools will be dismissing two hours early today due to potential flooding concerns in multiple areas of the county. All after school activities are cancelled including grasshopper basketball. Staff is to remain in the buildings until confirmation that students have been delivered home safely.
