
Preston County Schools will be dismissing two hours early today due to potential flooding concerns in multiple areas of the county. All after school activities are cancelled including grasshopper basketball. Staff is to remain in the buildings until confirmation that students have been delivered home safely.

For Middle School Parents: Middle school teachers will be collecting students' BARK Cards tomorrow, March 23rd. Please make sure to remind your student to bring and turn in their BARK Card.

If you have or know someone who has a child ready to start pre-k or kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year, please have them come by the school to register as soon as possible. This will help to get their child a spot in pre-k and help us plan for the upcoming year. If your child is already in pre-k at Bruceton School, you do not need to re-register them for kindergarten. Congratulations to our Bruceton Bulldogs that participated in the state FLL Robotics Competition today at Fairmont State! They really represented our school well and made us proud!



We can't thank our community enough for supporting our school at today's 15th annual Calendar Party. Our Academic Boosters were able to raise a preliminary total of $30,015! Thank you to everyone who came out, all our volunteers, and our Academic Boosters for planning, coordinating, and putting on the event!

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Wednesday March 15th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. The principals’ meeting will proceed as scheduled at 8:30 AM.

Middle school PE classes have been playing a 1 on 1 March Madness Bracket Tournament over the past week. Each bracket was made by drawing names randomly and here are the winners:

Preston County Schools will be closed Tuesday, March 14th & today will be a “Brain Freeze” Day. Students do not report; however, staff reports on a 2-hour delay. Bus drivers should contact the bus garage for any requirements. Sub personnel is not to report unless they are specifically directed to do so. All schools will be open from 10 AM to 12 PM for students who need help & lunches will be served from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. The guided reading training at Kingwood will occur & participants should report by 9:30 AM. The status of after school activities will be announced later today.
