Good morning. We apologize for the late notice, but unfortunately bus 29-23 Brett Slagle in the Bruceton area will run one hour late today, Wednesday, October 18th. This will impact Bruceton and Preston High students that ride bus 29-23. Again bus 29-23 will be one hour late today.

Tomorrow (Thursday) at 3:30 will be our first volunteer orientation session for new volunteers in the computer lab. If you're unable to make it to this one, we will have others scheduled later as well. If you've volunteered before, you do not need to attend. At tonight's volleyball game we're recognizing our 8th grade fall sports athletes. It starts at 6:00 and the volleyball team is organizing a pink-out and encouraging everyone to wear pink for breast cancer awareness. Tonight is also free admission as a thank-you for our community!

Good afternoon. This message is concerning Bus 129 Casey Feather's in the Bruceton area. On Wednesday, October 18th (tomorrow), students who normally ride Bus 129 from Bruceton School will be approximately 30 minutes later coming home. Preston High students (who ride Bus 129) will also arrive slightly later tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, October 18th. Thank you.

A few announcements this evening: Due to the weather forecast, Trunk-or-Treat has been postponed until next weekend Saturday, October 28th from 5-7pm. Also, tomorrow night, our middle school volleyball team takes on South Middle. It's 8th Grade Night where we'll be recognizing our 8th grade fall sports athletes. The volleyball team is organizing a pink-out too and encouraging everyone to wear pink for breast cancer awareness. It gets underway at 6:00 and it's free admission as a thank you to our community! Finally, Bruceton Spirit Wear orders are due this Friday, October 20th.

Old Pumpkin Bones strikes again! He made off with Miss Rexroad's pumpkins again over the weekend! Our PK-5 students are tasked with helping her find them again.

Little Learners will be starting soon at Bruceton School. It's a program for non school-age kids. There will be two weekly sessions on Thursdays from 11:00 - 1:00 and 1:00 - 3:00. Each year Clear Mountain Bank donates a beef and a hog from the Buckwheat Festival Youth Livestock Sale to our Academic Boosters. The Boosters are currently selling tickets to win a quarter of beef or a half of hog. Those tickets came home with your students the week before last. Please return any extra tickets and money as soon as possible. There are extra tickets if anyone would like more. Send a note with your student and we will send them to you. Perfect opportunity to fill up your freezer for the winter. The drawing will be at Trunk-or-Treat on October 21st. Thank you for supporting Bruceton School! We have the absolute best community in Preston County and we couldn't be the best school in the county without you!

Miss Rexroad has lost her pumpkins! Old Pumpkin Bones made off with them this week. Our kids have been helping her find them throughout the building. Our Pre-K kids had a visit from the Bruceton-Brandonville Fire Department today. The students got to check out all their gear and trucks. They couldn’t believe how HEAVY their coats were! #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere

The Preston County Schools Levy Committee is seeking feedback for a possible levy proposal in May 2024. The committee would appreciate community input & response on the following survey https://forms.office.com/r/YuQdsZg8Db to help guide development of the potential levy call.
