Bruceton School

Middle school boys basketball flex practices are set for Thursday, October 26th and Monday, October 30th from 6:30 - 8:00pm in the gym. Flex practices for November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are scheduled for immediately after school from 2:30 - 4:00 and students may ride the 4:00 high school bus home those evenings. Students must have a current athletic physical from this school year to participate in flex practices.

Mr. Vallone and Mrs. Marijke's class traveled to Cupcake Me Home today to learn the basics of foodservice. Their class is going to be starting their own school business with a coffee cart soon. #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere

Little Learners will be starting soon at Bruceton School. It's a program for non school-age kids. There will be two weekly sessions on Thursdays from 11:00 - 1:00 and 1:00 - 3:00. Next week is our Spooky Spirit Week! Monday - Pajama Day Wear your craziest pajamas. Tuesday - Costume Day Costumes must be school appropriate, not have masks or apparel that covers the face, and not have props that could be considered dangerous. Wednesday - Twin/Duo Day You and a friend or group of friends dress like twins. You can also do famous duos like Batman and Robin. Thursday - Tie-Dye Day Wear the craziest tie-dye items you can find. Friday - Teacher Look-Alike Day Show your favorite teacher or staff member some appreciation by dressing up like them.

Our Academic Boosters still have some beef and hog tickets available. The drawing is this Saturday during Trunk-or-Treat. Tickets are on sale through Wednesday at lunch for the middle school Halloween dance. It's $5 per student and Bulldog Elite students are admitted free. All tickets must be pre-purchased. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Our annual Trunk or Treat and Haunted Hallway is this Saturday from 5-7pm. We still have a few trunk spots open if you or your organization would like to sponsor one. Contact Alicia Ford at: alicia.ford@k12.wv.us for information. Hope to see you there!

If your child had a physical from a fall sport this year, they do not need another physical.

Our Lady Bulldogs will take on East Preston in the first round of the county volleyball tournament tomorrow (Monday) at 6:00 in Bruceton. Hope to see everyone there.

Middle School Bark Cards will be collected tomorrow. Parents: please make sure they're signed in the appropriate places if applicable.

Tickets for middle school's Halloween Dance will be on sale Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during lunch. Tickets are $5 and Bulldog Elite students are free. The middle school Halloween dance is Friday, October 27th from 6-9pm.

Unfortunately we weren't able to give out a Bruce the Bulldog statue this week for homerooms with zero absences and zero tardies. Next week is a new week though. Keep striving to be here and here on time each day!

Next Saturday, October 28th is our Haunted Hallway alongside our Trunk-or-Treat. As we get ready, there are some items that we could use for Haunted Hallway that you may be wanting to get rid of. If you have any old, stuffed animals, dolls, or barbies that have seen better days and you are wanting to get rid of, please drop them off at the school for Mrs. Shisler. We will give them new life.

Congratulations to the Bruceton Middle School Cross Country teams! The boys team won the county team title again this year, with Tyler Parks placing 2nd, Cooper Thaler placing 3rd, Lane Clark 6th, Emery Walls 8th, Colton Everline 9th, and Bryan Zeigler 10th.
