Mountaineer Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry Food Giveaway, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 11 am - 12:30 pm (while supplies last), at the Preston County Civic Center, 311 Tunnelton Street, Kingwood, WV. Please enter through Buckwheat Festival Fairgrounds on S. Price Street.
Bus #123 (Kyle Lee) in the Bruceton Area is running approximately 40 minutes late today.
Bruceton School will be providing glasses with the NASA-recommend specifications for students to be able to watch the eclipse tomorrow. Teachers in their individual classrooms will make the determination as to whether students will go outside to view the eclipse. If you wish for your student not to view it, please make sure to contact your child's teacher. Students will have the glasses to wear as they exit the building at dismissal as well. We will also be doing a hat day tomorrow as an additional safety measure.
Lunch for tomorrow at Bruceton School is breakfast for lunch: sausage and egg sandwich, hash brown, dragon punch, and milk.
The Lions Club is coming to Bruceton School to do their annual vision screening for students in grades PK, K, 2, and 7. They are currently scheduled for April 9th and 10th. As we've done in the past, this will be an opt OUT activity: all students will be screened unless the parent/guardian sends a note in saying NOT to screen the student. It is a free service and will serve as a SCREENING only. If there is an issue, the parent/guardian will be notified and they can take their student for further follow-up as they see fit
