Correction: 8th grade parents can pick up their children in the main office parking lot - not the bus lot.

The 8th grade trip is expected to arrive at approximately 4:30 this afternoon. Parents can pick up their kids on the bus lot. Please leave room for the buses to pull into the lot.

The 8th grade trip return is running late. They are approximately 2 hours from getting back to the school. We will send out a text with a more precise arrival time as they get closer.

During this school year, Reid Kalakewich from Mrs. Burnsworth’s class got 100% on his iReady lessons over 150 times! He received his grand prize today.

The lost and found is very full. If your child is missing a hoodie, jacket, water bottle, etc. have them check for it in the breezeway. The lost and found will be emptied once school ends.

The 4th grade Pittsburgh Zoo trip will be arriving back at the school at approximately 4:45. Parents can pick up their students on the bus lot. Please allow room for the buses to enter the lot.

Some members from the Kingwood Rotary Club stopped by to read to our kindergarteners today a book about water safety. All kindergarteners got to take home their own copy!

Bagged Lunch Survey Information/Data:
Based on survey responses, and as previously stated, we will only be utilizing the pre-packaged bagged meals for those reasons previously put out, with a majority of students stating they believe they are acceptable under those circumstances. We will also be exploring other options for alternatives, as in question 8, during school year 25-26 if emergency situations were to arise.

With the exception of a hand-full of make-ups, the West Virginia General Summative Assessment is complete in Preston County. The overall goal may be proficiency, but each student's goal should be to do his or her best and improve from year to year. This year is no exception as we're seeing improvements throughout the county. We're proud of our students' and staffs' efforts these past two weeks of testing. The year isn't over just yet. Keep up all the hard work.

Today our 8th graders got a lesson in life at the annual School of Hard Knocks. Thanks to all our volunteers and Mrs. Jenkins for making today's event possible.
