Students at Terra Alta East Preston have an exciting opportunity to join the After School Explorers! This program helps target learning gaps and promotes study skills and well-rounded activities. ASE runs from 2:25-4:25, Monday through Thursday. We will not have a bus available, so parents must pick their child up. ASE includes a snack, math and literacy enrichment, homework help, and art, music, and physical activities. It is available for students in grades K through 8, and you can sign up with an application from the office or by requesting one from your child's teacher. We are planning to start up right after Thanksgiving, so get your application in ASAP! Any questions, feel free to contact the main office.

Our school is participating in “College Application and Exploration Week.” During this week, we will focus on helping students learn about the importance of planning for college and about the many college options available to them. One activity will be “College Colors Day” which students are encouraged to wear the colors of their favorite college or university, or to wear their favorite college gear on Friday, November 4th. Students must abide by the school’s dress code and avoid wearing inappropriate clothes. Hope to see everyone repping their favorite college or university.

A BIG congrats to our youth league cheerleaders for their outstanding performance and placings in the county cheer competition this weekend held at PHS. The Dolphins were the 1st place winners in the A Team youth division and the Black Eagles were Runners up in the B Team youth division. We’re incredibly proud of the efforts of these young ladies, both in cheer and what they do at school each and every day.
