Due to a cancellation from Kasson, our 8th Grade night is now postponed to Thursday against Trinity and cancelled for tomorrow. We will still do youth night with free admittance for our youth league and students, but now on Thursday, instead of tomorrow.

Eagle family: Please be aware that we do not serve breakfast on 3 Hour Delay instructional days like we had today. Our first lunch is served shortly after school begins. Please make sure that if hungry, your student eats at home before coming. Sorry for any inconvenience and if meals are ever an issue, please reach out as we have programs to assist with this.

TAEP will be participating in National Hot Chocolate Day tomorrow during lunch. Students may choose with their hot lunch meal, at no charge, a hot chocolate instead of cold milk. If they wish both, the cost is 35 cents. Students eating cold lunch may purchase a hot chocolate for 35 cents. All money should be paid at the time of service. Please have exact change.

There are two pictures on the Facebook page and Live Feed on the app that are our February events calendar and dress up days for School Counseling Week next week. Also, the LSIC meeting has been rescheduled for February 27th from 5-6 PM.
Dress up Days:
2/6 - Pajama Day
2/7 - Sports Jersey or Shirt Day
2/8 - Pink, Red, or Valentines Shirt
2/9 - Dress like the job you want
2/10 - Superhero Shirts

Please join us this Wednesday as our Eagles take on Kasson at home and we send our 8th graders off as we celebrate each of them. We also want to thank the place where it all starts, so all youth league players and students will be getting in for free, so slap on your blue and gold and come out and root on your Eagles.

Tomorrow’s scheduled 2nd quarter LSIC meeting will be rescheduled for about a month from now. The date will go out this week. With the main topic of concern being behavior, we will be instituting a new program at school, so are planning time for initial implementation and reporting back. Sorry for the inconvenience. If there’s anything else that the LSIC would like added to the next agenda, please email Mr. Hough.

ASE is starting back up tomorrow. Again, After School Explorers resumes tomorrow, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience and delay. It will run Monday through Thursday from 2:25 to 4:25, and a reminder that parents must pick up their students because busing is not available.

We will not be holding Bible Club or FCA after school today, Friday the 27th. Sorry for any inconvenience and we look forward to seeing everyone next week.

Due to the pending weather tomorrow that is supposed to occur throughout the evening, we have decided to cancel the rescheduled concert and postpone parent/teacher conferences for Thursday, February 23rd from 4-6:30. Sorry for the inconvenience, but if the storm hits in the evening tomorrow or while parents, students and staff are here, we don't want to risk putting people on the roads later in the evening. (We will not be rescheduling the concert, as students need to prep for spring performances, however, we will conduct a few facebook lives that will save the videos during class next week, so you can see your students performance of those holiday songs)

The high school counselors will be coming to Terra Alta East Preston School that morning and will help each individual student sign up for their classes for freshmen year. Each student will bring home his/her selected courses that day and will need their parent to review their schedule and have both their signature and their parent signature on the form. Please turn the signed form back into the school by Tuesday, February 21st.

PCS will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, January 13, 2023 and Monday, January 16, 2023 there is no school.

Parent Teacher Conferences, as well as our make-up Middle School Holiday Concert will be held on the evening of Thursday, January 26th. Parent Teacher conferences begin at 4:00 and will last until 6:30. PTO will be providing hot dogs, chips and cookies. The concert will begin promptly at 6:45. More information will follow in terms of structure of the evening. Mr. Hough and Ms. Baker will be moving throughout the school from 4:00-5:00, then will be available in their office from 5:00-6:30 if any parents would like a meeting to discuss any concerns or issues with them. In February, they will also be hosting an open-forum, town hall meeting at the school.

Softball sign-ups are currently going on for any interested 6th through 8th grade girls who have a 2.0 GPA or higher. As of now, we are at the minimum needed to field a school team, so are looking for any interested players. Our coach is excellent at developing new players, so even someone with minimal experience is encouraged to come out and be a part of our Lady Eagles team. Sign-ups are on the office door. Thank you.
