Setup for the County Science Fair that was scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th from 4:00-6:30 PM at the Kingwood Community Building. The County Science Fair will now take place on Thursday, January 11th at the Kingwood Community Building with student presentations taking place during the academic day on Thursday. Public viewing of projects will take place from 5-7 PM on Thursday with an awards ceremony beginning at 7 PM. The awards ceremony is planned to be live streamed on the Preston County Schools website.

Come join us for a night of exciting basketball. Tomorrow, January 4th is student night as the Eagles take on the Central Preston Wildcats. All TAEP students get in FREE and the first 60 will receive a free thunderstick to shake as we cheer on the undefeated Lady Eagles and surging Boys team.

Good afternoon. Tomorrow, Friday, December 22nd, Bus 34, Charlie McCarty for Terra Alta East Preston School and Preston High School will not run.
TAEP: PK-4 Holiday Concert Info and Sign-Out Procedures
The grades PK-4 Holiday Concert is today at 1:00 in the gym. Those attending can begin to arrive at 12:30. The event will also be live streamed on the Terra Alta East Preston Facebook Page. If you are signing your student out following the show, there will be class rosters on a table when you enter the building for you to initial next to your child's name. After the program, students will return to class and we will send your child back to the cafeteria with their belongings where they will be checked off with one of the staff. We will have runners going back to get the students to bring them up. Only parents who are signing out students or picking up Portland Coffee should be in the cafeteria after. If you have a student in grades 5-8 who will be attending for their sibling or relative, you need to let Ms. Jessie know in the office prior to going into the gym, and will then follow the same sign-out procedures.
This is a reminder that Preston County Schools will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, December 22nd & students will remain on winter break until January 3rd. Preston County Schools wishes all of our families and staff a safe and wonderful holiday break.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Elementary Holiday Program beginning at 1:00, with tomorrow's theme day being, "Wear Your Holiday Best." Parents can begin coming to the gym at 12:30. We will also livestream the program on Facebook. Second, if you have a student in grades K-5, they each received a copy of the book, "Winter According to Humphrey." You are encouraged to read this book with your student over the break, or have them read it to you. See the attached flyer, or on Facebook, but there is also a website where you can record your student's progress, let us know what you think of the book, as well as watch read aloud videos of the book, courtesy of the Preston High School National Honors Society. Lastly, if you had Portland Coffee orders, they will be available following the program tomorrow.
