TAEP: Due to a staffing issue today due to illness, there will be no After School Explorers (ASE). Sorry for the inconvenience. Students will either need to ride their regular bus home or be picked up from school at regular time. There will also not be ASE tomorrow since we're having parent/teacher conferences. Next ASE will be on Monday.

TAEP Upcoming Calendar Changes and Parent Teacher Night Reminder: Just a reminder that Parent/Teacher night is this Thursday, the 7th from 4-6PM. Ms. Baker and Mr. Hough will be available to assist with information while parents wait to meet with the teachers in order to make the most of everyone's time and provide important information. Also, the Middle School Christmas Program, originally scheduled for the 14th, is now going to be on Monday the 18th at 7:00. There will also be a performance that day for all students, as well as an assembly to reveal our middle school winner who has designed Terra Alta's new town seal, as well as our elementary essay winners who will be "mayor for a day." A big thanks to Mayor Dan Hauger, the town, and town council for this great partnership and new opportunities for our students.

TAEP - Due to the current weather and potential for rain still lingering, for the sake of our instruments and students, the band will not be performing in the holiday parade this evening in Terra Alta. We apologize for those who worked so hard and were looking forward to seeing the hard work pay off, but have to take into account our students and not wanting to ruin instruments.

Tomorrow, Thursday, November 9, 2023, we will be honoring our Veterans with a School Day Program in the afternoon in honor of Veterans Day on the 11th. Friends and Relatives of our students who are Veterans have been invited to the school for a luncheon beginning at 12:15, with a program in their honor to follow. In order to ensure that we don't miss any of our Vets, we will not be pre-printing a program, however, once we have a roster from tomorrow, we will honor them again on social media this weekend. The program will include readings and music from our students, participation from the PHS JROTC Color Guard, a roll call of veterans in attendance, as well as we will be honoring the memory of one of our vets. The program will begin at approx. 1:00.

It's been a busy couple of weeks and students are doing great with their iReady Diagnostic, gearing up for the Veteran's Day Program tomorrow, and soaring like Eagles do. Just wanted to take the time to play catch-up and recognize our kids and highlight a couple of fun things. First, our kids had a visit from "Pumpkin Bones," a character in a song that they worked on in music class. Pumpkin Bones surprised students at lunch last week, as well as awarded winners from a class coloring contest. Those winners were: Wesley Harvey, Avery Wilt, Waverly Calhoun, Ava Calhoun, Liddy Funk, Asalynn Smith, Raylee Swisher, Lochlan Daugherty, Liam Grose, Remy Reckart, Cooper Rinehart, Owen Calhoun and Laveah Jennings.
