Good morning Eagles. We are on a 3 hour delay, which means we will not serve breakfast. Students will still report to the cafeteria and we will dismiss from there to classrooms as usual. Staff will have the 3 hour delay schedule available in Teams and we will post to Schoology as well.
After assessment of roads in the eastern portion of the county, Preston County Schools will now operate on a 3-hour delay for today, Thursday, February 6th.

Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Road conditions will be assessed in the morning and if circumstances warrant, the day could be shifted to a 3-hour delay or result in cancellation of school.

We have been in contact with a number of local clinics who have seen an uptick in strep, flu and a stomach virus. This is just a friendly reminder that as we work to keep our students and staff healthy this winter, please be reminded that if your child stays home or is picked up sick from school, he or she should not return until they are symptom free for 24 hours without medication. This includes fever (100.4+), cough, vomiting, and diarrhea. Remember you have 10 parent notes to use for the year in case of an absence. Be sure to turn either this or a doctor's slip in so we can mark your child excused.

Tomorrow's spirit day is sports; Wednesday is kindness; Thursday is career; and Friday is Marvel day. During this school counseling recognition week East Preston wants to thank Mrs. Durst and Mrs. Helmick for all they do for our school. They are both tremendous assets and we appreciate them!

Good evening, Eagles. Starting Monday, Terra Alta East Preston will celebrate National School Counseling week. We will have spirit days with Monday - pajama day, Tuesday - sports day, Wednesday - kindness day/dreaming of kindness, Thursday - career day/dream of my future, and Friday - Marvel Day/you are marvelous.
Report cards will come home Monday. Make sure you review those with your student. We will host spring parent teacher conferences later this month with more information coming soon.
Also, next week, our Eagles basketball teams play away - Wednesday at Taylor County and Friday at Philippi. Go Eagles and safe travels!

April 22nd, originally part of Spring Break, is now an instructional day as we have to make up a snow day. Students and staff will be in schools that day. Also, due to missing so many days, February 7th is no longer a 2 hour early dismissal. It will be a full day. Any additional days will be made up after May 30th.
Due to wind creating road condition issues Bible Club is canceled after school today, Tuesday, January 28th. Students will be sent home on their regular bus run.
Due to road work, tree-cutting, and other issues beyond our control, the following bus routes will be using alternate stop locations this afternoon. These are for Bruceton Area, Terra Alta, and PHS students.
Bruceton - Bus 29-23, Brett Slage and 22-21 Gerri Shaffer will be using alternate stop locations. In Terra Alta, Bus 121, Bruce Ragione will meet parents in the Cranesville, Afton areas at the White Oak Church.
