Thank you to all our judges for volunteering to help as well as our teachers for coordinating the event and parents for all the help they provided their kids.
There will be a mandatory meeting for any boys interested in playing middle school baseball tomorrow at 6pm in the cafeteria. Any boys in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade must have a parent or guardian attend as well. Students are not eligible to play for the middle school SSAC-sanctioned team if they are participating on travel teams or any other teams (youth league included) during the regular SSAC season. Again, the meeting will be in the cafeteria tomorrow at 6:00 pm.
This Friday is 8th grade night for our boys and girls basketball teams. We'll recognize our 8th grade athletes at approximately 7:00 between the boys and girls varsity games.

The WVU Society of Women Engineers and the WVU Statler College Of Engineering will host a day camp for girls in grades K - 5 on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 9 am - 2 pm on the Evansdale Campus of WVU. Registration is required to attend - online at: BIT.LY/GSD2024
Tonight's (Monday) girls basketball game has been cancelled. Boys JV will now play at 5:45 and boys varsity at 7:00. It's still free admission for all fans as a thank you to our community.
Last week was the closest to a normal week of school we've had in a while. Unfortunately we didn't have any homerooms with zero absences and zero tardies. Hopefully this week we can give out some Bruce the Bulldog statues!
Our student council food drive wraps up this Friday. We'd appreciate any donations of non-perishable food items to help restock the Bruceton Food Pantry after the holidays.
Parents who drop off PHS students to catch the bus in the morning to the high school are being asked by businesses across the street from Bruceton School's bus lot to not park in their business parking spaces. It is blocking their customers' access in the morning. PHS students being dropped off can use our parent drop-off line and PHS students can walk through the breezeway and by the playground to get to the bus lot. Again, people are not to park at neighboring businesses to drop-off students taking the morning buses from our bus lot to PHS.
Join Bruceton Bulldog Basketball on Monday, January 29th as we take on Trinity here at Bruceton. JV tipoff is at 4:30 and it's free admission for everyone as a thank you to our wonderful community! Bulldog Basketball will celebrate our 8th graders on 8th Grade Night on Friday, February 2nd against Westwood. Middle school student council will also be selling Bulldog spirit gear at both games while supplies last.
Miss Neff’s kindergarten class learned about hibernating animals this week! They became hibernation “experts” and created diagrams for display in the hallway.

Preston County Schools will hold PreK and kindergarten registration this Friday, January 26th from 9 am to 2 pm. Information concerning school locations for registration is provided on prestoncountyschools.com under menu, parents/students, enrollment. To register for PreK, the child must be 4 years old by July 1st (No Exceptions). To register for kindergarten, the child must be 5 years old by July 1st. Only NEW students need to register for kindergarten; if your child is currently enrolled in PreK you do not need to register.
Mrs. Stump's 7th grade math classes are going old-school bringing out the protractors to measure angles. Classic protractors are a great way to practice logical thinking.
