Report cards were distributed today. Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for tomorrow from 4:00-6:00pm.
Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27th, Bus 11-20 Bruceton School and Preston High, driver Bill Knotts, will begin driving the route formerly driven by Matt Feather. Bus 101 Stephanie Hamilton, Bruceton School and Preston High will begin driving Bill Knott's former bus route. All times will remain the same.
The Young Writers' Competition Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27th at the Preston High School Theater. The ceremony for elementary & middle school participants is set to begin at 6 PM, and the high school ceremony is set to proceed at 7 PM. Participants in the ceremony will need to enter the high school through the fine arts entrance on the side of the building or at the back of the Concourse due to ongoing construction at the front entryway. Any participant wanting to purchase and anthology book will need to make checks payable to the WV Reading Association. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

PHS Health & Wellness Family Night - March 28th, 4 - 6 pm. Please join use for an evening of activities provided by student government and National Honor Society. Activities will run from 4 - 6 pm. We will have activities for all ages. Tips for parents to support their student at PHS with Schoology and student health will be available. With construction of the front entry in full swing please use the entry doors by the cafeteria.

The Preston County Young Writers' Awards Ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Elementary will begin at 6 pm and middle/high school at 7 pm. Both ceremonies will be held in the Preston High School Theater.

Mrs. Vrabels 4th grade class worked with Mrs. Ticarich's class to teach 2nd grade about types of energy, electrical circuits, how energy flows, use of conductors, and creating open and closed circuits with lights, buzzers, and propeller motors.

Community Public Service Announcement: Join the Preston County Senior Citizens Program for the First Annual March for Meals Walk-a-Thon & Kids Fun Run on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Preston High School Track from 10 am to 2 pm. The event will feature the Easter Bunny, Egg Hunt, Food, & More. Registration begins at 9 am or use the QR code on the announcement to pre-register. A big surprise yesterday for our state science fair winner Jacob Heubi. He received a congratulatory letter from Congressman Mooney! The whole class was thrilled a member of Congress took time to recognize Jacob's accomplishment.

Today, six hundred sixty PCS students participated in Round 4 of the March Madness Food Challenge. In today's matchups, Pizza defeated Chicken Bacon Ranch sub in a landside while Chicken Tenders took down Taco Salad.
The tournament voting will resume on Monday, March 25, with Salisbury Steak taking on Chicken Drumstick and Breakfast for Lunch going against Cheeseburger.

The forest fires in eastern West Virginia continue to burn. We've had people interested in helping out those affected. The Bruceton-Brandonville VFD is collecting non-perishable food, water, and cleaning supplies until 8pm today at the fire hall. Tomorrow's collection times will be announced on their Facebook page. The items will be delivered to Hardy County on Saturday.
We hope to see everyone at STEM Night tonight from 5-7. When you arrive, make sure to enter through the breezeway doors.
Permission slips and paperwork for the middle school Bridge Sports Complex trip are due tomorrow.
Join us tomorrow (Thursday) night for STEM Night. There's hands-on activities and demonstrations for kids of all ages, including some cool stuff from NASA! It's from 5-7pm and totally free. Kids can also win door prizes too.
