The Preston County Youth Center will be hosting "Youth Night Out" on the first Friday of each month from 6-8:30 PM. Youth of all ages can enjoy an evening of games, crafts, & dinner. In addition, if you are into cheerleading, an NFL cheerleader will be leading a cheer clinic during the event. Today we want to spotlight kindergartener Emmy Nolan! Emmy has grown so much this year. Her excitement when she learns something new is inspiring to all. She is becoming quite the reading rockstar. She loves to draw and make cards for her teachers. All her hard work this year is paying off! We are so proud of her! Keep rocking it Em!

Today we want to spotlight Miss Price’s class! They celebrated Twosday with tutus, ties, and tube socks and completed reading and math activities around the number 2!

Just a reminder that per Preston County Board of Education policy, temporary or daily bus stop passes and changes are not permitted. Students are not allowed to ride buses home with friends after school. Anyone that needs a permanent change in bus stops must complete a request and have it approved by the bus garage prior to students riding the new requested bus or to the new requested stop.
Preston County Schools will be closed for today, Monday, February 14th, & it’s a “Brain Freeze” day. Students do not report; however, all staff who have not yet reported will report on a 2-hour delay. Students & parents should check their Schoology or Seesaw accounts for assignments. Additional details on Brain Freeze days can be found at the following link: https://5il.co/14g0f. Project setup for the County Social Studies Fair will proceed tonight from 5-7 PM. Finally, the status of other extracurricular activities will be announced later today.
Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for today, Monday, February 14th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, and all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay.
With today being a Brain Freeze Day and being a curricular day, extra-curricular activities may proceed based on improving road conditions. Setup for the County Social Studies Fair will proceed as scheduled from 5-7 PM at the Craig Civic Center. The scheduled Preston High boys' & girls' basketball games will proceed as scheduled as well. In addition, all other high school or middle school athletic teams may practice this evening with practice schedules and times being communicated by individual coaches. However, shuttle buses will not run today. Finally, no ASE activities will occur at district schools this evening.
The Bulldog boys team takes on Aurora in the first round of the county boys tournament on Tuesday at 7:30 at Bruceton School. Come on out and cheer on the Bulldogs!
You can also come early to check out South Preston vs. East Preston. That game tips off at 6:00.
Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs! They defeated Aurora 20-19 and are consecutive Preston County Middle School Girls Basketball Champions!
