It was a busy day in Miss Price’s class. To celebrate Emmy Nolan’s birthday she wanted to give back to the community. Her class packed 20 birthday in a pan kits to donate to the food pantry. Each kit contains, cake mix, sprite or coke, directions to make the cake with pop, frosting, candles, sprinkles, balloons, and a banner! Ms. Price and Ms. B are so thankful for Emmy and her caring heart!❤️

We have quite a lot of things in our lost and found. If your child is missing a jacket, hoodie, etc. have them check the lost and found in the breezeway. The lost and found will be cleared out after the last day of school.

A huge congratulations to Ragan Nieman and Callen Jenkins! They’ve gone the whole year and completed 100% of their weekly i-Ready minutes and passed 100% of their i-Ready lessons! Definitely a book machine-worthy achievement!

Today Miss Price’s class said, “see you later” to Ms. Maddie. She has been with our class 2 days a week all year as part of PHS’ CTE education class. We made her pancakes and treated her to gifts. We will miss her!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our summer reading kickoff tonight. The kids loved making their own bookmarks and were wowed by Mark Davis, The Magical Storyteller.

Here are the results from the Brittany Foley Thomas Memorial Track Meet Challenge today. https://5il.co/1apfd
Congratulations to all our 5th grade students in Preston County and thank you to our PHS Track Team for their help and all the volunteers today.
We would like to thank Kingwood Parks and Rec for the six 3-day pool passes they donated! Students, grades 3-8, will have the opportunity to win these passes by earning tickets for demonstrating positive testing practices! They will have a new splash pad installed this summer. Notice that water slide!

Shout to Shalynn in 3rd Grade. She puts 100% into every assignment and activity. Her tenacity is above and beyond! Way to go!

Don’t forget about our summer reading kickoff tonight.

You are receiving this courtesy notification today to make you aware that a child at Bruceton School has tested positive for Covid this week. Please monitor your child for symptoms and keep him/her home if they present with Covid - related symptoms such as fever, cough, and sore throat.

Mrs. Klimas’ 5th grade students may have been nestled in their beds last night, but today they still learned about last night’s lunar eclipse.

Our PK-2 classes adopted 3-8 classes last week for state testing. They provided goodies, motivational cards, messages, and more for kids taking the state tests. Mrs. Vrabel’s 4th grade class was adopted by Mrs. Singer’s 1st grade class. Many of Mrs. Vrabel’s kids put those motivational messages on their computers while they tested. Thank you to all our PK-2 students and teachers for supporting our older kids!

Bus 46, Gary Matthews in the Bruceton Area will not be running on Monday, May 16, 2022

Some excitement in 2nd grade as a professor from Garrett College stopped by to show off some unique wildlife. It’s a nice extension to their habitats and animal adaptations unit.
