Barn Hill Preserve will be visiting our school on March 9th. Their presentation features up to 7 animals! Students must complete the permission slip being sent home today in order to attend the event. The permission slip also includes purchasing information if you wish for your child to have their picture taken with an animal. Please return permission slips by Monday March 7th.

Aurora Youth League is hosting a 3-on-3 tournament Saturday, March 5 at 2:00. The event is open to all who signed up for Aurora Youth League Basketball Camp.

The Preston County Youth Center will be hosting "Youth Night Out" on the first Friday of each month from 6-8:30 PM. Youth of all ages can enjoy an evening of games, crafts, & dinner. In addition, if you are into cheerleading, an NFL cheerleader will be leading a cheer clinic during the event. Girl's Softball will begin next week. Practices and tryouts will be held at Terra Alta. Girls are to report to the gym upon arrival. Practice will be held from 4:00 to 5:30. Students must have a sport's physical before they can practice.

A sign-up sheet will be placed in the school office in the near future for any 6th-8th grader interested in joining the Middle School Track Team. Further information will be forthcoming. Season will begin March 7th. Athletes must have a 2.0 gpa and a current physical on file at the school. If your child participated in a fall or winter sport, this requirement has been met. Preston County Schools will be closed for today, Monday, February 14th, & it’s a “Brain Freeze” day. Students do not report; however, all staff who have not yet reported will report on a 2-hour delay. Students & parents should check their Schoology or Seesaw accounts for assignments. Finally, the status of other extracurricular activities will be announced later today.
Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for today, Monday, February 14th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, and all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay.
With today being a Brain Freeze Day and being a curricular day, extra-curricular activities may proceed based on improving road conditions. Setup for the County Social Studies Fair will proceed as scheduled from 5-7 PM at the Craig Civic Center. The scheduled Preston High boys' & girls' basketball games will proceed as scheduled as well. In addition, all other high school or middle school athletic teams may practice this evening with practice schedules and times being communicated by individual coaches. However, shuttle buses will not run today. Finally, no ASE activities will occur at district schools this evening.
