Attention all 8th grade parents: The 8th grade students have been working on their career portfolios in Schoology. Please help them finish up these portfolios by uploading files and pictures that they still need. They will present their portfolio during an interview with the administration at the school. The career portfolios need completed by May 17th and the interviews will be on Thursday, May 19th. The students will need to dress business casual for the interview. This interview consists of them presenting their career portfolio and being asked questions about their goals in life. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Durst at the school. Thank you
Preston County Schools is accepting applications for substitute cooks, custodians, and aides through the end of the week. Interested applicants need to visit the job posting site at https://prestonboe.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx
In addition, the required classes and testing for each of these jobs are scheduled for this week with the class for custodians beginning at 8 AM and for cooks at 10 AM at the BOE Boardroom on Thursday, April 7th. The class for aides is scheduled to begin at 8 AM at the BOE on Friday, April 8th.

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Monday, March 28th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Spring Soccer Signups
Aurora Youth League will have Spring Soccer this season at the Aurora School. Twice a week we will do practice followed by games for athletes in grades PreK - 5th. Each grade group will practice together and split into teams for games. Practice will last for around 45 minutes and games will last for 45 minutes. Signups will be open through April 2nd.
Sign up cost will be $10 per athlete.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held April 12, from 4:00-6:00. The PTO meeting will begin at 6:00 following the conferences. We are looking for more members, so please feel free to join even if you have never attended a meeting.

A pair of children's glasses have been found in the gym. Also, we have two glass dishes from the dessert donations for the spaghetti dinner that we would like to return to their owner. Please contact the office at the school if any of these items should belong to you.
