It's time for a new Beanstack Reading Challenge Preston County! Grab a good book and Hop into Reading. Read, log your minutes, finished books and activities to complete this challenge. This challenge is open to all staff and students. Remember the school with the most minutes per student logged will be the champions. Congratulations to Fellowsville for winning the Preston County Snowball Fight Beanstack reading challenge! They got to enjoy a snowball fight in the gym and their PE class gets to keep the snowballs. Fellowsville also gets to keep the Beanstack Champion Trophy until another school wins a challenge.

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow Thursday, April 4, 2024. Maintenance, mechanics, and custodians report on a regular schedule. Students and all other staff will report on a 2-hour delay.
The Preston High School HOSA Chapter will be sponsoring a Mother / Daughter Pageant on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Information for the event can be found on the Preston County Schools Facebook page and the PCS & PHS websites.

Preston County Schools will be closed March 29th through April 2nd for spring break. The central office will reopen on Wednesday, April 3rd and students will return to school on Thursday, April 4th. Have a safe and relaxing spring break!

The Young Writers' Competition Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27th at the Preston High School Theater. The ceremony for Kindergarten through 6th grade participants is set to begin at 6 PM, and the ceremony for 7th through 12th grade participants is set to proceed at 7 PM. Doors will open at 5:45 PM and participants in the ceremony will need to enter the high school through the fine arts entrance on the side of the building or at the back of the concourse due to ongoing construction at the front entryway. Any participant wanting to purchase an anthology book will need to make checks payable to the WV Reading Association. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27th, Bus 11-20 Bruceton School and Preston High, driver Bill Knotts, will begin driving the route formerly driven by Matt Feather. Bus 101 Stephanie Hamilton, Bruceton School and Preston High will begin driving Bill Knott's former bus route. All times will remain the same.
Today four hundred ninety-six PCS students participated in the March Madness Food Challenge by voting for their favorite lunch entree. In close matchups, chicken drumstick defeated Salisbury steak while Breakfast for Lunch took down cheeseburger. Tomorrow's lineup includes Pepperoni Roll vs Chicken Patty Sandwich and Pizza vs Chicken Tenders. Be sure to encourage students to vote for Round 6 matchups by logging in to Clever. PHS Health & Wellness Family Night - March 28th, 4 - 6 pm. Please join use for an evening of activities provided by student government and National Honor Society. Activities will run from 4 - 6 pm. We will have activities for all ages. Tips for parents to support their student at PHS with Schoology and student health will be available. With construction of the front entry in full swing please use the entry doors by the cafeteria.
The Preston County Young Writers' Awards Ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Elementary will begin at 6 pm and middle/high school at 7 pm. Both ceremonies will be held in the Preston High School Theater.
