The Preston High School Band will be having an Orientation Meeting for the upcoming school year on Thursday, June 5th at 6:00pm in the PHS Theater. Parents and students will be given a copy of the tentative schedule for the school year, the Band Handbook, WVSSAC Physical Forms, new music, and will have the opportunity to enroll in the Remind App, which is used to communicate with parents and students about upcoming events. We are hoping to have even more students this year to debut our new band and color guard uniforms this coming Fall! Preston County Schools will be offering a Bus Driver Class beginning on July 28th . This position offers summers off, flexible hours, family medical, dental and vision insurance, and a retirement plan for full -time employment. – No High School diploma required. Drug Testing and background check required. Please call 304-329-2524 for more information. PHS Cross Country Organizational Meeting

Just a reminder that this Thursday, the 5th, is the last day for students, and it is a 2 hour early dismissal. We hope you all have a great summer. All staff report on the 6th, and those who didn't complete their parent teacher hours report on the 9th for 200 day employee's final day.

Interested in part-time work? Interested in gaining experience and potentially leading to full-time employment in the school system? Mark your calendars as we'll have sub classes this summer. All will held at the Preston County Schools BOE. High School Diploma only required for Aide positions, or those seeking cook or custodian under the age of 21 (Per SB 275). Bruceton Bus Announcement: Bus 11-20 Bill Knotts Bruceton Students will ride bus 29-22 home this afternoon and will be approximately 30 to 45 minutes late.

Just a reminder that this morning's KES Got Talent Show will be livestreamed on the PCS Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/PrestonCountySchools at 8:30. The post will also save on there for later viewing.

This afternoon, the Kingwood VFD did respond to a small kitchen fire at KES. Due to an electrical issue with an oven, the oven caught fire, but staff reacted quickly to put it out with minimal damage. No one was injured and this won't result in any changes to schedules.

There will be a FREE End of the Year Bash at the Reedsville Park on June 7th from 6-8:30, followed by a movie in the park at 9. There will be food and drink provided, inflatables, balloon art, face painting and games. All free. Hope to see you there to celebrate. All sponsored by the Reedsville UMC and New Life Ministries

After consulting with the National Weather Service, Preston High School would like to announce that tonight's graduation ceremony will take place as scheduled at Knights Stadium beginning at 7:30 PM. Graduates are to be at the Gym at 6:45 PM for check-in. Parking attendants will be posted beginning at 6 PM. Handicap-accessible parking will be available behind the school and will require a permit or PHS-issued permit. General parking is available in the main PHS parking lot, student parking lots, lots adjacent to the vocational school, the gravel lot near the community soccer field, and Board of Education lot. Overflow parking will also be available in the field near the triangle intersection and at Central Preston Middle School. We encourage visitors to bring a stadium seat or towel to dry seats in case of any unanticipated rain this afternoon. Umbrellas will be prohibited in the Stadium. The ceremony will be broadcast on the Preston County Schools Facebook page and the live stream link on the BOE website. Mountain Digitial will also be broadcasting the event on their youtube channel as well as via Prodigi and Breezeline. These links will be shared prior to tonight's ceremony. We look to forward to seeing everyone at graduation tonight!

West Area Bus Run - Bus 76-16, Cassandra Dobbins will not run tomorrow. Bus 76-16 for West Preston area and PHS Students will not run tomorrow. If you are interested, or know anyone interested in sub driving, please contact the bus garage.

Mrs. Dani Kelley (Extended Learning Facilitator): Primary author of the successful WV First Foundation Initial Opportunity Grant. This grant totaled $93,212.58 and will be used to fund one of the AEP teaching positions, instructional supplies for the program, and partially fund the School Resource Officer position at Preston High School.
