Last night's meeting of the PCS BOE began with a celebration of our retiring personnel, totaling 529 years of service to the students of Preston County (list below). The meeting continued recognizing the achievements of the PHS Track & Field State Meet Participants. The team qualified 18 athletes for this year's WV State Track Meet, which took place on May 22-23, 2026. The team is coached by Rachel Bogumil, Heather Parks, and Tiffany Pyles (athletes listed below). We want to thank all of these employees for their years of dedication and service to the county, and these student-athletes for representing PHS and their community with such pride.

Preston County Schools is accepting sealed bids for Tire, Fuel and Petroleum Products for its Transportation Fleet for the 2026-27 year. Complete bid information can be obtained by visiting the Preston County BOE website. Bids are due by 1:00 pm on July 1st, 2026 at the Preston County Board of Education Office, 731 Preston Dr. Kingwood, WV 26537.

There will be a special meeting of the Preston County Board of Education on Thursday, June 4, 2026 for scheduled student disciplinary hearings. The special meeting will begin at 4 PM in the Preston County BOE Boardroom and the agenda is posted at: https://go.boarddocs.com/wv/preston/Board.nsf/Public.

The meeting will be held at the Preston High School Football Field in the bleacher section. If you cannot attend, but are interested or have any questions, please contact Coach Herrington at 304-276-5746.

Reminder: The sun is shining, the grass is mowed and drying, and Knights Stadium is ready to welcome our graduates and their families and friends this evening. Tonight's Preston High School Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 will take place outdoors at Knights Stadium beginning at 7:30 PM. Graduating senior students need to assemble in the Gym by 6:30 PM. Handicap parking is available behind the school between the school and the stadium by permit only. Tonight's ceremony will be broadcast by Mountain Digital at youtube.com/cable7, Live on Prodigi CH10, and Breezline on Channel 7 on their regular package, or channel 9001 on Breezeline Stream TV.
