FFA is the top school-based youth leadership development organization in the country, with more than one million members in all 50 states, as well as two territories, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Formerly known as Future Farmers of America, the organization was rebranded as FFA because it now equips students with the skills to pursue more than 350 careers in business, science, engineering, education, communications, policy, and more. PCS is fortunate and thankful to have such a strong representation and mentorship in FFA and through the Ag programs at PHS.

Preston County Schools are now closed for today, Monday, February 23rd. Students do not report and all extra-curricular activities are cancelled. 240-day staff, not already reporting are to report on a 2-hour delay and all other staff does not report. The scheduled Board of Education meeting will proceed as scheduled at 10 AM .

Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Road conditions will be assessed in the morning to assess the need for possible cancellation of school. The scheduled BOE meeting will proceed as scheduled at 10 AM.

Our schools are still accepting Pre-K and kindergarten registrations. Just drop by your local school for an enrollment packet. Enrolling now for Pre-K helps to make sure your child has a spot in next year's classes. If you have questions, just call your area school.

Preston County Schools will be dismissing Preston High School 3 hours early at approximately 12:15 PM tomorrow, Friday, February 6th. Buses will then travel to outlying schools who will be dismissing between 1.5 and 2 hours early and delivering all students home on one bus run. All after school activities will be cancelled for tomorrow. The status of activities on Saturday will be announced later.
