Every school day, our dedicated Preston County Schools bus drivers take on one of the most important missions of all — getting our students to and from school safely! They are everyday heroes who go above and beyond to protect our most precious cargo. 🚌❤️
During School Bus Safety Week, we're raising awareness about the importance of school bus safety and reminding students, families, and motorists that keeping our children safe is everyone's responsibility!
🚦 Our focus this week includes:
🚌 Understanding school bus safety rules and expectations.
⚠️ Recognizing danger zones around school buses where drivers may have difficulty seeing children.
🚸 Practicing safe loading and unloading procedures, including waiting for the driver's signal before crossing.
🛑 Educating motorists about the dangers of illegally passing stopped school buses and the importance of obeying school bus stop arms and flashing red lights.
At Preston County Schools, the safety and well-being of our students will always be our top priority. Our county, transportation department, and dedicated bus drivers are committed to providing safe, dependable transportation for every student, every day.

This is a friendly reminder that the Title I Advisory Parent Committee (TPAC) Meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday, October 19, at 9:00 a.m. at the Preston County Board of Education Offices.
The Title I Advisory Parent Committee provides families with an opportunity to have a voice in decisions related to Title I programs and family engagement efforts. Committee members work collaboratively with school and district leaders to:

Provide input on parent and family engagement activities.
Help develop and review family engagement policies and school-parent compacts.
Offer feedback on the use of Title I family engagement funds.
Identify ways to strengthen partnerships between schools, families, and the community.

Mrs. Hardy’s Pottery classes have been cooking up some creativity with their Pop Art Donuts! 🍩✨
Students explored the exciting and colorful Pop Art movement, learning about famous artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Inspired by the bold colors, playful designs, and everyday objects featured in Pop Art, students transformed ordinary donuts into extraordinary works of ceramic art! 🎨
From bright colors and crazy sprinkles to unique patterns and creative toppings, each donut showcases our students' imagination and artistic talent!
Who knew pottery could look so delicious? 😍🍩
