The Integrated Community Engagement (ICE) Survey is a data-collection tool used by the ICE Collaborative, a substance use prevention initiative in rural communities, to gather information from students in grades 7-12. This annual, anonymous survey collects data to help local coalitions understand protective and risk factors for youth substance use and to guide the development of locally tailored prevention strategies. PHS students will take this survey on October 23.
If you do not want your child to participate in this survey, please fill out the form at the following opt-out link by October 22. https://tinyurl.com/surveyoptout2025

PHS Biology classes and the HSTA club would like to thank Robert Sypolt and Bernie and Linda Coyle for talking to our students about the American Chestnut and taking us on a tour of the Waddell Orchard located on PHS campus. This was a very educational topic, and we enjoyed learning about the chestnut and other flora growing on our campus.

We also want to thank the American Chestnut Foundation for recording a video at the orchard that we all watched to learn more about the American Chestnut blight and what is happening at our orchard to help the trees survive. The video features our very own Robert Sypolt, along with Mark Double and Amy Metheny.
