Preston County Schools will be dismissing two hours early today due to potential flooding concerns in multiple areas of the county. All after school activities are cancelled including grasshopper basketball. Staff is to remain in the buildings until confirmation that students have been delivered home safely.
Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Wednesday March 15th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. The principals’ meeting will proceed as scheduled at 8:30 AM.

Bus drivers should contact the bus garage for any requirements. Sub personnel is not to report unless they are specifically directed to do so. All schools will be open from 10 AM to 12 PM for students who need help & lunches will be served from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. April 1st Preston High School will be hosting an SAT Bootcamp for students taking the CollegeBoard SAT (11th grade and any seniors retesting). It will be from 9 to 3 with lunch provided. In celebration of Dr. Suess and Read Across America, PCS will be serving a green eggs & ham potato bowl for lunch on March 2, 2023
We would like to congratulate our students for participating in the 1st Annual Fairmont State University Science Showdown on Friday, February 24, 2023. We took two teams of students to the competition. One group won 1st place in Biology (making a dichotomous key). The seniors on the winning team each earned a $1000 scholarship to attend FSU. Thank you, Tina Cool and Samantha Haught, for providing this opportunity for our students!
PHS Prom is 4/29 from 7pm to 10pm at the Erikson Alumni Center in Morgantown. Seniors and Juniors may buy tickets now through 4/14.
