Thank you teachers! Teacher appreciation week.
Tomorrow, students in grades 3-8 will take the English/Language Arts component of the West Virginia General Summative Assessment. It's important for kids to get a good night's sleep tonight and eat breakfast, whether at home or at school, before taking the exam. Please make sure students are on time to school. Also, students need to also ensure their laptops are fully charged before coming to school. While these tests are important, we understand that this is just one of many academic measurements of a child's progress and that there are things that no test can measure such as character, responsibility, empathy, kindness, determination, creativity, and more.

7th grader Nolan Rosenberger has been an assistant in Mrs. Hagedorn's first grade classroom during reading stations this school year! He has become so attached to our kids that he even surprised one student on his birthday by bringing a gift and card! The kids then returned the surprise on Nolan’s 13th birthday today! The students made birthday cards and had a birthday cookie for him! #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere

Our elementary and middle school student councils spent time after school today rebuilding our gardening beds, cleaning up the walking trail and basketball court, and more! Thanks to our kids, teacher/advisors, and parents for all their help! We got a lot done today, but there's always still more work to do! #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere
