Tomorrow, students in grades 3-8 will take the English/Language Arts component of the West Virginia General Summative Assessment. It's important for kids to get a good night's sleep tonight and eat breakfast, whether at home or at school, before taking the exam. Please make sure students are on time to school. Also, students need to also ensure their laptops are fully charged before coming to school. While these tests are important, we understand that this is just one of many academic measurements of a child's progress and that there are things that no test can measure such as character, responsibility, empathy, kindness, determination, creativity, and more.
Tickets for the middle school semi-formal will be on sale during lunch this Monday through Wednesday. Tickets are $10 and $5 for Bulldog Elite students. All tickets include dinner and must be purchased in advance. The middle school semi-formal is Friday from 6-9pm.
PCS students will begin state testing (called the WV General Summative Assessment) tomorrow, Monday, May 6th. Please limit absences, tardies, and early dismissals as much as possible this week. We appreciate your cooperation.

7th grader Nolan Rosenberger has been an assistant in Mrs. Hagedorn's first grade classroom during reading stations this school year! He has become so attached to our kids that he even surprised one student on his birthday by bringing a gift and card! The kids then returned the surprise on Nolan’s 13th birthday today! The students made birthday cards and had a birthday cookie for him!

Our band and choir students did a phenomenal job at their performance tonight! A big shout out to Miss Rexroad and Miss Harvey for all their hard work putting together the concert!

Students in grades 3-8 will take the West Virginia General Summative Assessment next week, May 6th through May 10th. It is very important that students are here in school these days for the exams. As in the past, students must have completed all their GSA component exams before being permitted to attend any field trips.
Come out tonight and join us for our spring band and choir concert. It's at 6:30 in the gym and admission is free.
Our elementary and middle school student councils spent time after school today rebuilding our gardening beds, cleaning up the walking trail and basketball court, and more! Thanks to our kids, teacher/advisors, and parents for all their help! We got a lot done today, but there's always still more work to do!

The last day for Bruceton After-School Explorers in grades 3-5 is Thursday, May 2nd. The last day for Bruceton After-School Explorers students in grades K-2 is Thursday, May 9th.
Tomorrow night is our annual spring band and choir concert. Join us in the gym beginning at 6:30. Admission is free.
PCS students in grades 3 - 8 will participate in state testing May 6 & 8; grades 5 & 8 only will also take a science test on May 10. Make up tests will be May 7, 9, & the week of May 13th.

Josie Higginbottom is the County Champion in Shot Put and Discus. She also broke her own school records in both.
Christian Humberson set the school record for both the 100 meters and the 100 meter hurdles.
Tyler Parks was the 6th grade High Point scorer of the meet.
