In order to keep Bruceton students safe during dismissal, our school policy requires hand written notes for changes to your child's normal dismissal routine. For instance, if your child typically rides the bus and you want to pick them up, please send their teacher a note. If something arises and a change needs to be made during the school day, please drop off a note. We will not accept phone calls, as we have had some security issues with calls in the past. Also, if you need to sign your student out, please arrive prior to 2 pm. Anyone arriving after that time will need to join the parent pick up line. Please understand these policies are in place for your child's safety and protection.

Here at Preston County Schools, we're a team. Every team needs a strong anchor, and our counselors provide that not only for our students, but also in assisting our staff. We're all better off for the work that they do, day in and day out, and beyond the regular week. Your efforts don't go unnoticed. You all are truly making a difference and we thank you, this week, and all the weeks.

February Breakfast and Lunch Menus

Middle school softball flex practices will begin February 4th through February 7th from 6:45 - 8:00pm in the Bruceton School gym. Additional flex practice information will be provided to students during that time. Tryouts are scheduled for February 24th through February 26th from 5:00 - 7:00pm.

Additional bus change for Bruceton area and PHS students. Bus 46 Gary Matthews will be using alternate stop locations tomorrow and Friday. Bus 46 will be using alternate stops the rest of the week.

April 22nd, originally part of Spring Break, is now an instructional day as we have to make up a snow day. Students and staff will be in schools that day. Also, due to missing so many days, February 7th is no longer a 2 hour early dismissal. It will be a full day. Any additional days will be made up after May 30th.

The following are bus changes for this afternoon in the Bruceton Area, which will continue tomorrow. In Bruceton, the following will be using alternate stops: Bus 75-16 Shelly Wolfe will be using both am and pm alternate for remainder of the week and 29-22 Brett Slagle will be using alternate stops today and tomorrow.

Due to road work, tree-cutting, and other issues beyond our control, the following bus routes will be using alternate stop locations this afternoon. These are for Bruceton Area, Terra Alta, and PHS students. Bruceton - Bus 29-23, Brett Slage and 22-21 Gerri Shaffer will be using alternate stop locations. In Terra Alta, Bus 121, Bruce Ragione will meet parents in the Cranesville, Afton areas at the White Oak Church.

Preston County Schools is currently doing an overhaul of its phone system. With the new system has come changes in employee extensions. Listed below are the new county office extensions. Schools will begin updating as their new systems are installed. If you reach an error on an old extension at a school, just place a "3" in front of the old number.
