October’s Character Strong trait is Respect. Mrs. Moody’s class did their Character Strong lesson today: Create a slogan or jingle for respect. Here is what her class came up with! The last one is to the viral song “It’s Corn.”




It’s always a great day when we get to add new hardware to the trophy case!


This month's Character Strong character trait is Respect. It's our goal to help kids learn to respect and value each other.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week, a national event to prevent drug abuse. We can't wait to see our kids in everything from pajamas to mismatched clothes to costumes!

Mrs. Walls' first graders spent some time learning about emotions and how to express our feelings in positive ways. They worked in collaborative groups to create a person that would express a given feeling. Team work was a big challenge because they were not able to use scissors!

Today we are spotlighting Wyatt Zeigler in Mrs. Moody’s class. Wyatt made us so proud when he realized that sitting near a friend in class was distracting him from his learning, and he spoke up for himself and asked to be moved to ensure he could focus on his education. Way to go Wyatt!

Today we are spotlighting Brian Swearingen. Brian is in Mrs. White’s class and she says he has continued to work hard and shows improvement in all areas! We are super proud of him!

Mrs. Moody’s class played an exciting game of Knockout this morning to practice their multiplication fact fluency.
