Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Monday, March 28th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Today we are spotlighting 5th grader Paisley Schnopp! Her teacher, Mrs. Klimas, says she is a well-rounded student who always puts 100% into each and everyday at school. She enters the classroom with a smile on her face and always puts forth great effort. Paisley is a member of the of the Lady Bulldog youth league grasshopper team and local archery club team. We are all proud of you Paisley!

Mrs Miller’s pre-k class is learning about outer space this week. They are also making some cool projects, one was a stomp rocket. They had a contest to see who’s could fly the farthest. The longest distance was about 40’. The kiddos thought that was amazing and they had a great time with it.

Today we want to highlight 7th grader Brooklyn Casteel. Brooklyn has been working as a middle school intern for the past grading period in Miss Cain’s kindergarten and she has been wonderful! Miss Cain says Brooklyn is great with the kids and always willing to help when needed. Miss Cain says they have enjoyed having her in their class so much and are going to miss her!

Students in Bruceton’s TAG program participated in today’s West Virginia FLL State Championship robotics tournament. While the teams are not advancing to the national competition, we are very proud of their teamwork and perseverance as they worked through this challenging season. Last night was the first game for Bruceton middle school softball against Central in Kingwood. The Bulldogs’ first home game is tomorrow (Friday) against West Fairmont in a doubleheader at 5:00 and 7:00. The team plays at the youth league fields behind Bruceton United Methodist Church.

Today is pi day! Some of Mrs. Stump’s math students came up with the most words that start with pi to celebrate! Tucker, Davren, Brayden, and Landon came up with 19 words that started with pi and even included some Spanish in their list. Happy 3.14!
