Mrs. Klimas’ 5th grade students may have been nestled in their beds last night, but today they still learned about last night’s lunar eclipse.

Our PK-2 classes adopted 3-8 classes last week for state testing. They provided goodies, motivational cards, messages, and more for kids taking the state tests. Mrs. Vrabel’s 4th grade class was adopted by Mrs. Singer’s 1st grade class. Many of Mrs. Vrabel’s kids put those motivational messages on their computers while they tested. Thank you to all our PK-2 students and teachers for supporting our older kids!

It’s a big day here at Bruceton School! Thanks to our boosters, we have been able to install Preston County’s first book vending machine! Students will be able to earn tokens from their teacher and use the machine to pick a book they get to keep. Today, kindergartener Avery Glenn was the first student to get to try out the machine! Her teacher, Miss Garry, says that Avery is a great student who always tries her best and loves to read!

Just a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, May 6 due to teacher meetings and Tuesday, May 11, is Election Day.

Due to voting at the Civic Center next Tuesday, May 9th, the Mobile Food Delivery will be moved slightly, see picture of map
