A huge thank you to the carpentry CTE students at Preston High. They made our new picnic tables. Here are some pictures of them at work on them. Thank you PHS CTE!

The first batch of our new picnic tables were delivered today! Thanks to the carpentry CTE program at Preston High for making them for us!

Mrs. Richards' 3rd graders have made a shrine to Bruce the Bulldog! They went last week with perfect attendance and zero tardies! Will we be able to award Bruce to any other homerooms this Friday? Any homeroom that goes for the whole week with perfect attendance and zero tardies will receive the Bruce the Bulldog traveling trophy! The trophy will be given out on Fridays and each homeroom that wins will be able to keep the trophy the next week. The homerooms that have possession of Bruce can decorate and outfit him with clothes, jewelry, hats, and more!

Some of our 7th grade PE students are in the middle of an intense game of German Kickball. This version of kickball is more fast-paced with higher scoring.

We still have a few opportunities left for people to Adopt-A-Classroom. It's an easy way to help out our kids and teachers. You can help out with whatever you're comfortable doing. It could be something as simple as sending encouraging notes to the class to keep up their hard work, coming in to do a read-aloud, helping the teacher make bulletin boards, donating supplies for the kids and room, and more. If you're interested, just fill out the information at the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/kyD3eZNLsi We hope this is an easier way for our community to connect with our school, teachers, and kids. We truly have the best community in Preston County
If you weren't able to send in your donut orders and money today, we can still take orders and money through Sept. 20th. That is the absolute deadline for orders and money. Feel free to call Mrs. Susan Moran at 304-379-2593 if you have any questions or need anything. Thank you again to the Lions Club for donating cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 to the top individual sellers. And thank you all again for your support. We've been using these funds, along with our levy funds and funds from Academic Boosters, to replace a lot of very old student classroom furniture that was in bad shape as well as other projects and items around the building.
If you miss school, you miss out! Any homeroom that goes for the whole week with perfect attendance and zero tardies will receive the Bruce the Bulldog traveling trophy! Our 1st graders tried their hand at making friendship bread on Friday. Looked like it turned out pretty delicious.

Not only is Mr. Brewer known for his math skills, he’s known for his wild ideas for Friday outfits. Mr. Brewer planned to have his students wearing shorts, boots, and flannels today. Check out these crazy math students ....

Our middle school life skills class tried their hand at some basic cooking today. They made omelettes with fresh veggies. We're happy to report they did not burn down the building .... lol! Thanks to Mrs. Parks for all her work helping teach kids life skills!

We want to thank the Bruceton Lions Club for supporting our school! They have donated cash prizes to the top three donut selling students. First place is $100, second place is $75, and third place is $50. You can still place orders through September 20th. All orders and money have to be returned by September 20th. We love our community and thank you for your support!

The wooded area and that portion of the walking trail behind the school is closed until further notice. The county maintenance department will be doing tree-work there. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we want to keep everyone safe. The rest of the trail, football field, and basketball court are still open to use.

When a student loves school and his teacher, he brings her roses and comes to school with a big smile on his face! We love our kiddos!

If you're interested in helping out in the library, please send an email to our library volunteers. This is their new email address.
