Mrs. Miller’s class has been busy exploring the world of natural resources and maps! Today, students learned about the many different types of maps—including some that show what’s inside buildings. They created their own map key and worked together in groups to create detailed maps of their classroom. Each group then presented their map to the class and answered questions from their classmates. Tomorrow morning (Friday), in conjunction with school system safety personnel and the Preston County Sheriff's Department, Bruceton School will be conducting a lockdown drill to practice emergency procedures with students. This is only a drill.

Tonight's (Wednesday) middle school softball game is cancelled due to lack of an umpire. The team will practice immediately after school at the field.

Congratulations to our Bruceton Bulldogs Track Team. The Bulldogs competed a Keyser Middle School on Monday. We have a few new school record holders. Paxton Berger set the school record in the High Jump. Tyler Parks broke his own school record in the 1600 meters. Callen Knox set the school record in the Shot Put. Eileen Parks broke the school record in the 3200 meters. Miranda Poe took the win in the 1600. Braden Armstrong took 2nd in the 3200. Josie Higginbottom won the Shot Put. The team will be back in action on Thursday at the Charlie Pritt invitational at PHS.
