The Grandfamilies Program in Preston County provide educational workshops
that provide support to grandparent caregivers. They will cover the day-to-day
challenges that happen while raising a grandchild.
The program is free to attend and will be held in the evening for two hours. See picture for dates, locations and times

Preston County Schools is accepting applications for substitute cooks, custodians, and aides through the end of the week. Interested applicants need to visit the job posting site at https://prestonboe.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx
In addition, the required classes and testing for each of these jobs are scheduled for this week with the class for custodians beginning at 8 AM and for cooks at 10 AM at the BOE Boardroom on Thursday, April 7th. The class for aides is scheduled to begin at 8 AM at the BOE on Friday, April 8th.

Shout out to a couple of our track athletes: At the Westwood track meet on Wednesday Kash Jenkins set the school record in the 3200 meters and Chloe Belanger set the school record in the 100 meter hurdles!


Today a pharmacy student from WVU stopped by to teach some of our kiddos about germs. He demonstrated the proper ways to wash hands. The students enjoyed washing their hands and looking under the black light to see how well they washed.

WVU’s STEAM Center visited Bruceton School today and worked with the kids on wiggle bots. We hope to have them back soon!




Today we want to spotlight two of our 8th graders, Evan Scardina and Taylor Frankhouser! Their English teacher, Mrs. Taylor, says that both worked extremely hard on their last writing unit and their writing scores improved significantly! Congratulations and keep up the hard work Evan and Taylor.

Preston County Schools names, Bradley Martin, as the next superintendent at the March 28, 2022 Board Meeting

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Monday, March 28th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay. The scheduled RCD training will proceed at 10 AM and the BOE meeting will proceed at 1 PM. This message is from Preston County Schools using the Thrillshare automated calling system.

Today we are spotlighting 5th grader Paisley Schnopp! Her teacher, Mrs. Klimas, says she is a well-rounded student who always puts 100% into each and everyday at school. She enters the classroom with a smile on her face and always puts forth great effort. Paisley is a member of the of the Lady Bulldog youth league grasshopper team and local archery club team. We are all proud of you Paisley!
