3 week offseason Girl’s basketball practice for Aurora School will be held on June 15th from 5:30-6:30pm at Aurora. It is open for any girls interested in playing basketball this upcoming season. All incoming 6th-8th grade girls are welcome to attend.
Any athlete in grades 6th-8th interested in running cross country or track for the 2022-23 school year is welcomed and encouraged to attend the optional 3 week practices from June 13-July 1st. Anyone can run! This is a great sport for winter sport conditioning and athletes of all skill levels. Athletes must have a current physical prior to participation. Parents, just a reminder that the rock climbing wall permission slip must be returned tomorrow, Friday, May 20th.
Parents, as part of our field day festivities, a rock climbing wall has been rented for the kid. A permission slip hasl be sent home today and will need to be returned on or before Friday, May 20th. If we do not receive a permission slip for your child, he or she will not be able to participate. We would like to thank Kingwood Parks and Rec for the six 3-day pool passes they donated! Students, grades 3-8, will have the opportunity to win these passes by earning tickets for demonstrating positive testing practices! They will have a new splash pad installed this summer. The Aurora School LSIC group will have their final meeting for the current school year on Tuesday, May 17th at 4:30 pm in the school library. We will review our goals to note successes from this school year and look at things we were unable to accomplish.

Attention all 8th grade parents: The 8th grade students have been working on their career portfolios in Schoology. Please help them finish up these portfolios by uploading files and pictures that they still need. They will present their portfolio during an interview with community volunteers at the school. The career portfolios need completed by May 17th and the interviews will be on Thursday, May 19th. The students will need to dress business casual for the interview. This interview consists of them presenting their career portfolio and being asked questions about their goals in life. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Durst at the school. Thank you!
