If you would be willing to volunteer to talk about your occupation, we would appreciate you taking your time to share your knowledge with our students. Girls A and B grasshopper tryouts will be Monday 2/20 at Aurora School from 3 to 4:15 pm. There will be a short parent meeting at 4:15 with announcement of team members.
Track season is here! Practices will start February 27th in order to get enough for the first meet scheduled for Thursday 3/30! Meets will run 3/30-5/1. If your athlete has not participated in a fall or winter sport and does not have a physical, please be sure to get ASAP as there will be a small window to get all practices in before the start of the season! Any boy or girl in grades 6th-8th with an eligible GPA and physical can participate! Please sign up in the school office or contact Seegee Bachtel 304-698-5569 with any questions. 8th grade parents:
Yesterday your child scheduled for high school courses for their freshmen year with the high school counselor. Please see and review the pre-registration form that your child completed today. Once it is completed, both your child and you need to sign this form and return it to me by Tuesday, February 21st. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs. Durst with any concerns or requests.

Robotics has been cancelled for today.
There will be Softball Flex Practice at East Preston from 4:00 - 6:00 starting on Tuesday, February 15th for middle school girls interested in participating.
Aurora School will be participating in a food drive beginning Monday, February 13th. The following items are needed : instant or canned white potatoes, canned vegetables, egg noodles, macaroni & cheese, stuffing, gravy, canned fruit.
Congratulations to our boy's team for their win last night. They will play Thursday night at Central against West. The game starts at 5:45. Tonight, our girls will take on Bruceton at 7:15. The first game of the night will be South vs Central. Doors open at 4:45.
Menu Change: Thursday will be cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Friday will be turkey gravy over biscuits.
Tomorrow, February 7 all 8th grade students will be travelling to PHS for a school tour. They will leave at 8:00 and return before lunch.
County basketball tournaments are this week. Aurora boys play at home Tuesday, February 7 at 7:15. Aurora girls play at home Wednesday, February 8 at 7:15. Games will be live streamed.
The Winter Dance has been rescheduled for February 24 from 5:00-7:00.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are tonight from 4:00-6:00. Mrs. Roush will be available from 4:00-5:00. Mrs. Ravenscroft, Mr. Waugh, and Mrs. Jones will not be available for conferences.
Due to the Book Kick-Off event, Robotics is canceled for today, 2/1/2023. Students will need to go home at normal time.
Tonight, we are hosting a kick-off for Read to Them. Students will receive their copy of "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind." We will have some STEM challenges set up and prizes for give away starting at 4:00. Books will be available for pickup starting at 3:00.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday, February 2 from 4:00-6:00.
