There will be an informational meeting for all 7th grade girls who would like to tryout for junior princess, as well as 11th grade girls who would like to try-out for senior princess, and 11th grade boys who would like to be an escort or a king candidate for the 81st Buckwheat Festival. These meetings will take place on Monday, December 5th, Tuesday, December 6th and Wednesday December 7th, at 6:30 in the Mill Room of the KFVD Community Building. You must attend one of these meetings with a parent or guardian in order to try-out for junior princess, senior princess, escort or king candidate this year.

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, our 7th and 8th grade is participating in an Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Presentation. It is an informative program that emphasizes the teaching of good decision-making skills and encourages abstinence. A parent letter and opt-out form were sent home with your child. Please take time to ask your child about the program and send back the form if you don't wish for your child to participate. Again, this is only for 7th and 8th grade students.

Our school is participating in “College Application and Exploration Week.” During this week, we will focus on helping students learn about the importance of planning for college and about the many college options available to them.
One activity will be “College Colors Day” which students are encouraged to wear the colors of their favorite college or university, or to wear their favorite college gear on Friday, November 4th. Students must abide by the school’s dress code and avoid wearing inappropriate clothes.
Little Ceasars fund raising forms are coming home with students today or tomorrow. They are due November 18.
Families, please return the WVU basketball game field trip permission forms to the school by Friday.
Girls' Basketball practice (6-8 grade) will begin October 31st from 6:30-8:00 pm. Students must have a sports physical before they can practice.
In celebration of Farm to School month, PCS will be serving sausage gravy over biscuits for lunch on Thursday, October 27. The sausage will be supplied by PHS Animal Processing.
Boy's Basketball flex practice will begin October 31st from 5:00-6:30. Students must have a sport's physical before they can practice.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held November 4 from 4:00-6:00.
