The PCS Tech Department will check each device as we collect them. Parents will be notified as soon as possible of any problems with the equipment that will need to be paid for before the next academic year. We will NOT be collecting cash or checks when we pick up devices

For required professional development on Friday, May 6th, Bus Operators & Mechanics will be completing online training assigned in the Safe Schools Training site. The modules (CPR and First Aid) will not be available until Friday, May 6th. In addition, drivers are to be reminded that physicals need to be completed before May 20th and please check with Cindy Foley or Steve Plum for information on taking recertification testing.

Just a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, May 6 due to teacher meetings and Tuesday, May 11, is Election Day.

This message is for any students or staff member who was issued a T-Mobile hotspot from Preston County Schools during the 2020-21 school year and select individuals in the Fall of 2021. The contract on these devices has expired effective today and they will no longer can be used for home internet access. Please contact Mr. Brad Martin at (304) 329-0580 ext. 225 or by email at brrmarti@k12.wv.us to request a new hotspot to be issued that can span the remainder of the school year through June 30, 2022.

WV General Summative testing dates for grades 3-8
Central Preston - May 2-5, 2022
All other schools May 9, 11-13, 2022.


Just a reminder there will be no school on Friday, April 15th and on Monday, April 18th.


The Grandfamilies Program in Preston County provide educational workshops
that provide support to grandparent caregivers. They will cover the day-to-day
challenges that happen while raising a grandchild.
The program is free to attend and will be held in the evening for two hours. See picture for dates, locations and times


Preston County Schools is accepting applications for substitute cooks, custodians, and aides through the end of the week. Interested applicants need to visit the job posting site at https://prestonboe.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx
In addition, the required classes and testing for each of these jobs are scheduled for this week with the class for custodians beginning at 8 AM and for cooks at 10 AM at the BOE Boardroom on Thursday, April 7th. The class for aides is scheduled to begin at 8 AM at the BOE on Friday, April 8th.

Staff development for service personnel for tomorrow is as follows: Custodians and Maintenance Staff are to report to the Board Office at 9 AM and Cooks are to report to the same location at 10 AM for sessions with Equitable Financial. Staff development information for Bus Operators, Mechanics, and Aides has been communicated in separate messaging and involves completion of online modules in the safe schools website. Finally, staff development for school secretaries has been communicated by the Finance Office.

The modules (Special Education Safety in the Classroom & Conflict Management: Staff to Staff) will not be available until Friday, April 1st.
