Bus 66-15, Laura Fisher, in the West Preston Area will be 30 minutes late picking up students at West and at Preston High today, Wednesday, 10/19/22

Bus 11-20, Bill Knotts, in the Bruceton area will be running 20 minutes late this mroning, 10/17/22

Bus #71-16 (Phillip Moreland) in the Kingwood Area will not be running today in the morning or afternoon.

On Saturday, Oct. 1st if you find your child(ren) has no internet...
Any student, K-12, who does not have the Online Information Form filled out by Saturday will have all internet access cut off. Any student who has a NO on their AUP section of that form will also be shut off. This is county policy that is required by state policy for federal funding. These accounts will be turned back on as the student information form is filled out online.

If you do not have internet at your home you may call the school secretary and give the information over the phone to them.


Power has been restored at West Preston School as of 11:20AM on September 28, 2022.

Currently, there is a partial power outage at West Preston School and in the Arthurdale area related to a damaged electric pole near the post office. The power company anticipates restoration of service by mid-day. Arrangements are being made to provide meals at lunch time onsite and to provide supplementary lighting at the school in areas of need. Phone lines at the school are currently down; however, if there is a need for any emergency communications to the school, please contact (304) 329-0580. At this time, school is NOT being dismissed early and the school will be dismissed on a regular schedule.

In accordance with the West Virginia School Emergency Food Act, the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) is seeking survey information on food availability to children during the summer months. The survey is open through Friday, September 30th. Preston County Schools is encouraging parents to please complete this survey to assist the WVDE. The Preston County Board of Education is actively seeking 11th and/or 12th grade students who would be interested in serving as student representatives on the Board for the 2022-23 school year. Currently, there is a reported power outage at Fellowsville Elementary and in the Fellowsville area related to a downed tree along Route 26 that has damaged a pole. Arrangements are being made to provide meals at lunch time and to get water onsite as the fountains are not currently working with the outage. At this time, school is NOT being dismissed early and the school will be dismissed on a regular schedule.
