Enrolled virtual students: check your Schoology messages. Orientation is required and will be held August 16, 5 - 7 pm in the county office board room (directly behind PHS). Students will complete paperwork, cybersecurity training, pick up their device, and begin classes.

Squires cheer try outs will now be held Tuesday, August 8, at Central Preston Middle School. Parent meeting at 4:45 pm and try outs 5 - 7 pm.

For the fourth year, PCS students will have the opportunity to eat a no cost school breakfast and lunch through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program (as a result of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, that provides meal service to children in high-poverty areas).


The Mountaineer Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will be in Kingwood at the Civic Center on Tuesday, August 8, from 11 am - 12:30 pm, while supplies last. Please enter through the Buckwheat Fairgrounds on South Price Street.

Summer athletic shuttle bus service for Preston High School student-athletes begins on Monday, July 31st through Tuesday August 15th. Buses deliver students to PHS at approximately 3:30 PM and depart PHS at 8:00 PM. A posted schedule that provides the driver's name, bus number, pick up points and departure and arrival times is posted on the Preston County Schools and PHS websites under the news section. Preston County Schools will be offering a School Bus Driver Training class beginning Monday Aug. 28th at 6pm in the JROTC Building at Preston High School. Please fill out the on-line application for a Substitute Bus Operator position at prestoncountyschools.com under the employment tab to be considered for the class. Tryouts for any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for the Squires Cheer Team will take place on Monday, August 7th from 5-7 PM at Central Preston Middle School. There will be a brief parent meeting in advance of tryouts beginning at 4:45 PM. Students must have a current physical and proof of insurance in order to tryout.
