Each child must have a pair of headphones or earbuds for the WVGSA coming up the week of May 9-13. If possible, please send in a pair for your child this week or next, so we can test them before our test week. It is not required to purchase a pair, but we would greatly appreciate it. If you send in a pair, they will be returned home after testing. Thank you for your help!

As we get closer to the end of the year, some of our middle school students tend to try to test their limits. We at South, like some other schools, have seen an increase in vaping. These are illegal and can result in suspension. On Fridays, we allow hats to be worn for a quarter. This money is donated at the end of the year to a charitable organization, such as the animal shelter or food bank. Two students decided today that helmets were okay to wear as hats. We can't believe that we have to tell students that they cannot wear helmets in school. Hat Day is something for the whole school to enjoy and it would be a shame to have it ruined by two students. Thank you.

The 8th grade DC trip is April 29, not April 22, as previously announced. I am sorry for the confusion. There will be an informational meeting for 8th grade parents this Wednesday at 4:30 in the cafeteria of South Preston School. This will be about the Washington DC trip on April 29. Thank you.
