Masks will be optional in all other buildings for the week of January 18, 2022.
As a result of a Federal Mandate, Masks must be worn on all buses until the mandate has been lifted.

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Monday, January 10th. Maintenance, mechanics, and custodians report on a regular schedule, and all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay. The scheduled school-day girls’ basketball game between Central Preston and Terra Alta/East Preston has been rescheduled to Friday and the boys’ game will proceed tomorrow as scheduled. Prekindergarten and kindergarten enrollment is now open at South Preston School. On Friday, January 14, we will be accepting forms all day in the library. If you know of anyone with possible Pre-K or kindergarten students who are interested in enrolling them, please let them know. Preston County Schools will be closed for tomorrow, Friday, January 7th. Students do not report and all extra-curricular activities are cancelled on Friday, but may proceed on Saturday. Maintenance, mechanics, and all AM and PM custodians, including cook/custodians may report on a regular schedule and depart three hours early from their shifts or report on a three-hour delay. A required class for anyone interested in becoming a substitute custodian for Preston County Schools is scheduled on Thursday, January 13th, 2022 at the Preston County BOE Boardroom. The custodian class will begin at 12:30 PM.
All potential applicants must be a high school graduate, pass the online custodian exam given at the class, complete a criminal background check, and will need to submit a bid for the position by visiting https://prestonboe.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx.
