Congratulations to Golden Horseshoe winner: Coltin Myers!!!
Preston County School's Calendar for the 22-23 School Year has been approved. Here is a link to the to the calendar. We are also going to have a staggered start like we have in the past. https://5il.co/19hxk. We sure to download our app and/or check out our webpage.

Each child must have a pair of headphones or earbuds for the WVGSA coming up the week of May 9-13. If possible, please send in a pair for your child this week or next, so we can test them before our test week. It is not required to purchase a pair, but we would greatly appreciate it. If you send in a pair, they will be returned home after testing. Thank you for your help!
As we get closer to the end of the year, some of our middle school students tend to try to test their limits. We at South, like some other schools, have seen an increase in vaping. These are illegal and can result in suspension. On Fridays, we allow hats to be worn for a quarter. This money is donated at the end of the year to a charitable organization, such as the animal shelter or food bank. Two students decided today that helmets were okay to wear as hats. We can't believe that we have to tell students that they cannot wear helmets in school. Hat Day is something for the whole school to enjoy and it would be a shame to have it ruined by two students. Thank you.

Two updates: Kindergarten goes to Hovatter's Zoo on May 9. Also, this is very important: Students who need to ride a different bus; have a different drop-off; are a pick-up rather than bus; are to or not to stay for After School Explorers have to have a note. We are not getting notified in a timely fashion on some of these and are having problems, especially at the end of the day. Please send a note with your child or children when their regular travel home routine has changed. Thank you.
