Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for today, Monday, February 14th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, and all other students and staff will report on a 2-hour delay.
With today being a Brain Freeze Day and being a curricular day, extra-curricular activities may proceed based on improving road conditions. Setup for the County Social Studies Fair will proceed as scheduled from 5-7 PM at the Craig Civic Center. The scheduled Preston High boys' & girls' basketball games will proceed as scheduled as well. In addition, all other high school or middle school athletic teams may practice this evening with practice schedules and times being communicated by individual coaches. However, shuttle buses will not run today. Finally, no ASE activities will occur at district schools this evening.
As a reminder, South is under the mask mandate for next week (February 14-February 18). All teachers, students, staff will be required to mask up. If a student refuses to wear a mask, we are required to send that child home, as per county protocol. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
