Preston County Schools will be closed Tuesday, March 14th & today will be a “Brain Freeze” Day. Students do not report; however, staff reports on a 2-hour delay. Bus drivers should contact the bus garage for any requirements. Sub personnel is not to report unless they are specifically directed to do so. All schools will be open from 10 AM to 12 PM for students who need help & lunches will be served from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. The guided reading training at Kingwood will occur & participants should report by 9:30 AM. The status of after school activities will be announced later today.

In addition, students may come to county schools from 10 AM to 12 PM for help with assigned activities. Lunches at each school site will be available from 11:30-1 PM as well. Parents, please contact the school if you need a lunch. Resources on Brain Freeze can be found on the PCS website under the News section on the main page. Additional questions can be addressed by your local school. The status of after school activities will be announced later today.

Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Pre-K enrollment will be from 9:00 to 2:00 on Friday, January 13. Just come to the school and enroll. Also, any parents with students either in Pre-K at other schools or not enrolled should contact the school or come to the enrollment session. This is if you want to have your child in our kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year.
