Preston High School has been recognized for its exceptional Career and Technical Education (CTE) program in West Virginia. (Brenda Layton, Director of High School Curriculum, and Ryan Justus, Asst. Principal PHS/CTE, pictured above)
Every program/technical school in the state is graded on various accountability measures. These relate to district performance across key areas such as student outcomes, career readiness and career program engagement.
PHS offers a wide range of CTE courses in areas such as nursing, skilled trades, and agriculture, with a strong track record of student success, with a significant number of students completing all courses in their chosen area of study, and even competing and performing well at the state and national levels of competition.
Preston High's CTE Staff is dedicated to providing students with the skills and knowledge needed for their chosen career paths. Congratulations to all the staff and students that helped to make this recognition and achievement possible.
