CPMS Memo: In honor of Red Ribbon Week- let's show a little spirit! Monday- Wear red, Tuesday- Pajama day, Wednesday- Tie dye, Thursday- Wear your house color!

November's Breakfast and Lunch Menus
There is a new item in November for lunch which resembles the McRib Sandwich, as well as trying out boneless wings with a variety of sauces for our students to try to see which dipping sauces they like. We will also be trying out a breakfast burrito. Feedback from the survey was appreciated and taken into account, and from December on, all menus will be based on a majority of the surveys favorites, and removal of those items a majority didn't like or wants less of. Any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to email Justin Hough, Director of Child Nutrition and Communications at jhough@k12.wv.us

CPMS Memo:
Just a reminder that only the inside lane (closest to the sidewalk) is to be used during morning drop off and stay in line. Some children exit on both sides of vehicles. If it is not a quick drop off , please park in the lot.

Preston County Schools Upcoming Staff Wellness Challenge:
Don't let time be an excuse to not take care of you. We're only at our best, because you're at your best. From November through February (4 Months), Staff is invited to participate in a wellness challenge. You can do this for personal benefit, pride, or county bragging rights. At the end of each month, certify yourself at the link provided on that month’s calendar (posted on Facebook). 6 winners will be chosen each month to receive a “Preston Strong” hat, courtesy of Affordable Signs Unlimited. Those 24 winners will also be placed into a drawing in March for a grand prize (TBD, but a goodie). The county will also keep track of school submissions and will post our "Top Schools" each month.

CPMS Memo: Reminder- Tomorrow, October 14th starts CPMS coin wars! The grade that brings in the most coins will win a special treat, trophy, and bragging rights for the year.
In addition- don't forget 10/14 through 11/1 is our attendance challenge!

Tomorrow begins National School Lunch Week. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child's life, and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom. We have selected fan favorites to highlight the week, as well as focusing on a "farm to table" day on Wednesday, featuring WV pork and fruits. And as always in Preston County Schools, all students eat for FREE.

CPMS Memo: Please help us celebrate and honor our veterans!
Our annual Veterans Day assembly will be held on November 7th at 9:00 am.
Contact CPMS if interested in attending and email any pictures for our slideshow to darby.rouzee@k12.wv.us

There have been on again, off again phone issues reported at Central, South Preston, Terra Alta, PHS, and the Board of Education Offices. This is an external, Frontier issue. We are working to get them resolved. Calls are able to be made, but quality is hit or miss. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Parents/Guardians and students, please take a moment to complete a short survey related to school meals. The results of this survey will help in making menus that are more appealing to our students. Thank you.
